Saw on a local group buying sites offering AIRCOOL installation for RM599(claims original price RM1300) at their Sri Petaling branch. Moreover, the price also same for MPV. The below is the specs given:-

AIR COOL DUROGARD 7E 4 mil (rear screen and 4 windows) Specs:
       VLT = 62%,
       UVR = 99%,
      IRR = 64%

AIR COOL 70 (windscreen) Specs :
       VLT = 70%,
       UVR = 99%,
       IRR = 40%

Do you guys think it is really a good deal as claimed? Or anyone has any good or bad experience with AIRCOOL Sri Petaling?

PS: I am not sure if I am allowed to post direct link to the website here according to the forum rules, just PM me if you want to see it

Of course cheap lar...might as well no tint....40% IRR...USELESS. You should get at least 80% IRR and above...otherwise, just waste money....

just got my car a RhinePro-XD3 from Cool World...actually does IRR of 82% considered high? I still feel kinda hot inside the car even just park for 1-2 hour at outside...or I have expeted too much?  sweat.gif

I think u expect too much lar....82% IRR is quiet good already.....as long as it can cool down fast after you on the air cond, it's good enuff already.

People...remember to get security film tint....My Savvy got smashed last Friday on Passenger front seat...robber tried to grab my Wife's handbag.

I install some CoolWorld tint. Good thing is , when smashed, the glasses shattered but didn't fly off (thus minimize injury from flying glasses debris). My wife didn't get hurt thanks to this.

Bad news is, once the glass shattered (still stick to the security tint), the thing will be too heavy and fall down....so i think no matter how thick your film, the glass will still fall down....

Just to share.

I think my security film is 4mm-6mm gua...can't remember.

Sorry to hear about this as it is clear that the security tint that you had was no more than a normal tint. This should not happen to security tint if it was a smash and grab. How many blows did the glass hold up to or was it just one smash and the whole thing was gone?

A friend of mine is looking for security tints now and I cannot recommend anything other than Llumar as there is no way to prove that other products work. They may claim security tint but there is no way to test it.

According to my wife it took a few blows to break it. Where to tint this Llumar? Just curious i look at it, no matter how thick your tint, the glass will sure shatter.....how can it be unbreakable?? In my case, the glass fall down after a while....because all shattered, the weight pulls the film down....i don't see how the tint can stay erected when all the glass are shattered.....gravity mah...

btw, the robber didn't get my wife's bag...my wife pull the bag, roibber pull bag handle...he got away with the handle when the handle breaks....LOL.
