QUOTE(demonxyz @ Jan 14 2012, 11:31 PM) a Llumar sales person told me Huper Optik's 6mil security film is not under HO, but another brand, the name i forgot. HO's security film only comes in 4mill & 8 mil. And that's only in C50. That's what I know.At last i chose Llumar T4-50 with AVS for FWS, RM1880. A bit over budget but the color of film is nice, still no chance to test its performance since everyday is so cloudy. On the other hand, HO quoted me rm1400 for C70(Front & Back) + 6mil security(side). Just got one of my car done with Huper Optic Sech 60 for the front and C40 for the rest at around the same price. Very effective in educing the heat Added on January 15, 2012, 1:02 pm QUOTE(kienu @ Jan 15 2012, 01:10 PM) y all these macam-macam/pelbagai brands tinting getting cheaper n cheaper? i see can get even from 180--300..... the heat rejection is lower. Take note that the figures (%) given by the shops cannot be verified. It just their own figures. what's the catch? bubbles after some time? Then there is also the durability against fading, peeling and bubbling. Can be seen commonly on some of the car rear windscreens. I have personally used few types of tint and can conclude that what you pay is what you get. This post has been edited by kelvyn: Jan 15 2012, 01:02 PM |

do tint shop charge for removing old tint?
My car come with rm200 tint voucher. But the tint shop charge too high for other type of tint film.. So I my plan maybe put tint on front windsheild only. Later when back to shah alam retint all windows at reputable tint shop. It is safe for my roadtax? As I know it will tear. If we want to peel from windsheild. |

QUOTE(pakutekan @ Jan 15 2012, 09:40 PM) do tint shop charge for removing old tint? Most shops charges to remove old tints. Somewhere between RM150-200 or even more.My car come with rm200 tint voucher. But the tint shop charge too high for other type of tint film.. So I my plan maybe put tint on front windsheild only. Later when back to shah alam retint all windows at reputable tint shop. It is safe for my roadtax? As I know it will tear. If we want to peel from windsheild. If you are not happy with the tint offered, why waste money and later have then taken out? Especially for the rear windscreen, this process could damage the demister when the tint is removed. As for the road tax, you could have the road tax disc placed on another clear plastic sheet before it is stuck onto the tinted windscreen. That way when you remove the plastic sheet, the disc follows. This is what the tint shop does for mine. |

They will have an air condition enclosure for this purpose. I have seen some shops where their tinting are done; sharing the same space with other car accessories activities. This is like looking for trouble |
