Problems now is the front windscreen failed because VLT in Puspakom only 62%. called up tintshop they said they will try to buat rayuan to Vkool HQ to try to retint back for me. I dunno if retint back same thing Ill be able to pass another inspection in Sabah or not, the export to Sabah Puspakom check

Have you discussed how the tint shop can settle for you? It might be a better idea to ship your car back to Sabah, then retint your front windscreen in Sabah. Vkool Elite's VLT is higher than 70% but the "end result" may end up slightly lower than 70%. To top it off, other tints with high VLT above 70%(other than VKool Elite) usually has very poor TSER. So in the end, it makes little difference whether to tint your front windscreen or not. Most people have their front windscreens tinted in the range of VLT 50% to 69% for better heat rejection.

3M works perfectly fine with me, am satisfy with the heat rejection both with moving and stagnant car, its miles better than my other 98% irr tint on the other car. kinda regretted goin for the brand, should top up few hundred to tint both cars 3m but kinda wanna experiment to c what are the differences so yes, if you do have the budget, go for reputable brands who shows u tser values, it's the most important thing for heat rejection.

I think I now do not mind slightly lower heat rejection or what already...as long as pass puspakom...to avoid hassle...talked to them they said they can try rayuan to hq but try only no guarantee thats y I was quite pissddd in 2008 when I tinted for 2.2k they said so many ppl tinted no problem 1...jpj puspakom....no.problem...now suddenly said oh puspakom changed rule...gosh...

CS85 VLT is 50%. IF you are using CS85 for front windscreen, quite a bit lower than JPJ's permissible 70% since the difference is 20%. Usually best to stay within 10%+/-.

The equivalent Huper Optik package would be Sech60 for front and C40 for sides/back. TSER is almost similar to Raytech.

Thanks bro, which centre would you recommend for a reasonable price for HO?

For HO, I only inquired from 3 branches. So far the two branches in Puchong (CK Tint and Puchong Smart Tint) have almost similar pricing with difference maybe RM50 between the packages. Smart Window now knows that the HO dealers are trying to get business by cutting the prices, hence they will try to match the price to their best ability.

You will most likely get cheaper prices if you go directly to the HO branches(bypassing Smart Window), but not sure if you will get the proper warranty papers. I opt to go through Smart Windows as my SA had given me a good discount for my new car, so I helped him by paying a bit more for the tint.

If you want the cheapest price, you may opt for either HO branches at Puchong. Pricing will be almost similar for most common packages(RM1.6k-1.8k). I am not sure about other branches though.

There is few point I would like to highlight on behalf of V-Kool product

1. I would say most of the car windows film do not pass the PUSPAKOM test especially on the FRONTWINDSCREEN which required minumun 70% and above.

2. For example, I have customer (Honda CRV with full car V-Kool Elite) that inspected his car at PUSPAKOM and failed on FRONTWINDSCREEN as the reading show 53%. So we help him to remove the film and get the car reinspect again.
This time, the PUSPAKOM let the car pass but the reading show 69% laugh.gif Do you get what it mean now?

In your case,

1. You no longer able to claim the film from V-Kool as you said the car already 5-6 years because we give warranty
5 years only.

2. You definitely need to send to PUSPAKOM if you need to do "change of ownership". I am not sure about the export to Sabah procedure and i guess you should find out more.

3. Since you are in midst of change ownership, you do not entitled warranty claim as well because we give warranty to the 1st owner only.

Hope this make you clear smile.gif

Well as far as I concern, the lightest film in the market is around 75% - 80% VLT. Even that, it does not guarantee it will pass PUSPAKOM inspection.

I have to admit that lately the PUSPAKOM have change the rules drastically. They use old machine to measure VLT with dim lightning. The problem lies with their rules and standard. Imagine original car FRONTWINDSCREEN without tint already have reading of 69% VLT, therefore whatever film you install it will failed the inspection.

No, VKool Technology give you maximum VLT yet help you to reject most heat and UV

Hi everybody, I am back from my holiday! Just see through all the latest thread.
Is wonderful topic. JPJ issue again. Never ending problem for window film industry in Malaysia.
I tested my car in JPJ last year, which is no tinting at all, I remember my side window is 72% VLT and my front windscreen is 68%. I am so scare the "Pegawai" will tell me, "OK, sir, I think your original front windscreen is not compliant with JPJ rules, you need to change a brighter windscreen." I am thinking, OMG where to buy a brighter windscreen? Luckily the "pegawai" do not say anything, and pass my inspection. sweat.gif

agreed, as what most of us noticed, if not me alone, you (Lord Gitsy) keeps on advertising how GODful raytech is, and bashing other brands. So what, what's wrong if ppl share how shitty/good a tint is, that's the REAL feedback from users out there, not the so claimed how powderful it is coming from the seller itself. and What's wrong with sharing the prices here, at least we know what we are paying and not being overcharged

Like always, if your product is good, there's no need for advertisement, users will feedback and ppl will come to you, like wise..vice versa
*
Hey, bro,

Serious attacking... easy bro. Calm down.
1. I talk only about Raytech, because I am Raytech Tinted Advisor. I put my status very clear. No misleading. People can read my post, my topic, my feedback and understand more. Sharing information is the whole idea in forum talk.
2. I am not touch any other brand. Please do not saying me bashing other brands. shakehead.gif
3. On personally view, "sharing price" is good actually. But sometimes, due to the brand seller have promotion from time to time is different. If you guys sharing the price is not the latest price, means the information is not update.
4. All product need advertise, infact, good product have more advertisement, because they got good things to share. Infact, be more aware for those brand you can't find any solid information, no review, no advertisement, and no website.

In forum, ppl will normally read, understand, think, research and make their decision. Lets make it open and sharing, bro. thumbup.gif
