Changing a SIM card will not change your plan type, unless you ask for it. smile.gif

You can get it done either at Maxis Center Danga Bay which is not far from City Square, or Maxis Center Taman Molek. smile.gif

Out of topic awhile.
Oh, just knew if we switched off data roaming and data cellular, will be still charged on 4G network.
Happened to me during my trip to China, was using Umobile that time.

As what Westlife has said, just change to 3G and you'll be fine.

I got charged a few times before, until an officer advised me to change to 3G (on top of turning off Data Roam) whenever I'm roaming. Did just that for my Hotlink and all other cards, and not been charged since. icon_rolleyes.gif

(Edit: (Thanks to Hashtag2016 for highlighting) The officer advised me "not to use 4G" while roaming so I switched to 3G. I was roaming in Singapore where there's no more 2G.)

May I ask which officer? through online or phone?
AFAIK, their officer reply is asking user using 2G . drool.gif

Sorry, my bad, it was "not to put to 4G while roaming" instead, and it's online.

I was roaming in Singapore where there's no 2G anymore, so I'll have to put it to 3G in order to keep the line active. blush.gif

If you are in Singapore, you can go to Woodlands to get on the Maxis network to do it. Just gotten the 365 Validity for my hotlink line there myself.

If not anywhere near the Malaysian borders, no choice, have to call up Maxis directly and ask them to help you do it. Just make sure you have sufficient balance first, which I guess you obviously have.

You can access the *100# option without having to travel nearer the borders. nod.gif

Along the USSD list of options if you're dialing from Singapore, there's a More or More Options ... just need to drill in to find the *100# one. smile.gif
