Hi Thank you for your Interest with our Hotlink, We do not have such required validity, but our prepaid will be valid the amount of top u, Lets say Rm10 will be valid for 10 days and 50 days on Grace before fully expired.

Hi Maxis, I know certain package can convert to "#hotlink" plan by dial *365# to got 365 validity. But the rm60 is for one time convert plan or everytime i want extend 365 days instead lastime rm33 extend fees? tq

Hi,

Please be advised as there is no top up required after validity purchase unless you have set up auto-renewal. For auto-renewal, you will need to ensure there is enough balance to cover for next renewal.

Hi maxis, today i received a sms saying "Validity 90 & 365 are now available as one-time subscriptions" Can you please explain to me what does this mean??? Bcs i set mine to auto renewal.

no need, your info is obsoleted .
Since they had rename the Hotlink365 to Validity365, and introduce Validity 90 , topup RM30 is not require..
but u still have spend money to buy the validity. For successful buying the validity , ur account need to have enough money left(after buying the validity, a few ringgit, not sure how much exactly..) .. .

no more auto renewal, and no more validity stack (which mean, no more topup RM100 and then buy validity365 to get 465 days validity)..
they had changed it 'secretly' without any prior notice and without any announcement , since last year...

don't know why they need to remove the auto renewal function, bcs i set that function for my elderly parents who are bad with tech stuff. also you can't renew it from the hotlink app. Have to do so many steps dial 100, etcetc...

Hi maxis - is there any long term validity plan still available? i looked over the web and could only find the older hotlink365 plan and something about validity365/90 but no actual details.
Im currently overseas but want to maintain my number.

Good day. Im not Hotlink user, but have a lot of friends whose family members are using Hotlink Prepaid legacy plans together with the yearly purchased VALIDITY 365 plan.
And they're not well-versed in BM or English.

They have been long time customers with average 10 ~ 20 yrs tenure on Hotlink Prepaid, and most of them are senior age users.

They are advised by Hotlink customer service that, if they want to fully get rid of the Data PPU issue which cost them max RM 10 per day, then they need to upgrade to latest Hotlink plans.

When they asked the customer service , if they had upgraded to new Prepaid plan, then what about the VALIDITY 365 ? Because they need to maintain on this plan for various reasons.

So they were advised that, after 3 months tenure on latest Prepaid plan, acc active, total credit balance more than RM 65, then they can dial from mobile , *365# to change to Hotlink Hashtag and purchase VALIDITY 365 plan at RM 60 from their Hotlink credit .

However, when they asked, what about subsequent year for VALIDITY 365, there was not a clear answer.

hi, do u mean #hotlink ?
Don't believe them.. nowadays, those CS only try to con u or cheat u to change your existing plan to newer useless one.
If u change your plan, u cannot get your old plan back anymore.
The #hotlink that we knew about ,doesn't support validity365,..

U can simply ask them to disable the GPRS for your old plan, then u won't get GPRS charge anymore...
If they refuse to do so, u can simply complaint to mcmc/skmm .
as simple as that.. brows.gif


and of course, after disable gprs, your friends don't have mobile data anymore..(don't worry, u still can use the WIFI)
but, they don't have to change anything else or change the old habit..
and don't need other un-clear term-and-condition "suspiciuos" plan ...


In case they still need a mobile data after that, simply asking them to get a dual sim phone, and grab another sim card from other telco, just for that mobile data.
(Hotlink simply don't want your money from the mobile data, so they create alot of hassle to u. so u don't buy data from them, just buy mobile data from others telco.. )... icon_rolleyes.gif

p/s: in case u don't know, modern android phone had ability to switch to mobile data while Wi-Fi is weak(mostly under WIFI advanced option)..
u have to make sure it is DISABLED, or u got PPU charge .... If u don't want to disable the gprs completely from the holink old plan...

btw, even if u do everything right, u might still get the shocking charge ...their system has flaw,might charge u illegally, even u disable mobile data from the phone, every setting is correct, and use wifi only.
but, u can simply complaint to mcmc/skmm, and claim your money back, if u face this issue..
(the issue seem make a huge come back within the post pkpb era)...

they dont want you to keep auto renew because as a business they cant benefit profit from there imagine every year 35 ,35 35, 35 35 same profit.. Imagine you forget renew the number might go out of validity period so you need reload to extend .

Now imagine 35, forget renew need top up 30 then a wise person will use 30 days before upgrade to 35 validity

Hmmm .....

You are the 2nd person to mention this unpublished option ... I myself was curious as I'm still on #hotlink plan and already found the validity 365 in ussd menu *100# a couple of months back ... so ... presumably once your yearly validity lapses, you should still be able to sub by using the ussd menu as long as you fulfill the criteria ...

Dual sim is a safer option, just throw any expired sim at slot 2 and rmb to turn in on and set to data only. Works fine for me even tho showing no network.
