Descriptions:
Supports MP3 and WAV up to 16-bit, 48KHz sample rate
Functions either as DAP or headphone amp
Socketed opamp (comes with TI NE5532)
16V power supply for exceptional dynamics and energy
1500mAh battery
3.5mm headphone and line out/line in combo port
Digital & analog volume controls
High end capacitors used
PROS:
1. Sound is transparent, detailed, balanced & beautiful.
2. Cheap DAP or amplifier.
3. It can drive high impedance headphones
4. It will resume from where you left off.
It works just like cassette tape player. You play a song and stop at one part. When you press play again, it will resume from where you left off. Even if you updated your microSD card, you can still pick up from where you left off.
5. You can change opamps on the board to further improve sound. Onboard opamp NE5532 offers superior clarity and transparency. The choice of opamps is a highly subjective matter. Some may want more bass. Some may want better mids and treble. So users need to experiment with different opamps.
6. Long battery life. One charge can last for at least 12 hrs.
7. Relatively light compared to other made in China Digital Audio Players. The Walnut weighs 3.5 oz. This is 0.1oz less than the iPod Mini.
CONS:
1. Not for the impatient users. Need to burn in to get better sound!
2. No screen. Retro music players do not have screens. Ipod Shuffle also don’t have screens. This is for people who want simplicity and great sound at a low price.

Plugged my Rose Masya into it and.....GAACCCCKKKKK!!!! This thing sounds amazing!!! Wow, real music, finally!!!! Oh man, analog sound, how I've missed ye.
This Walnut sounds better than the last DAP I just bought (Aune M1s even in balanced). Ding ding, winner!
I haven't opened it up, but I'm pretty sure it's the one with the OPA2604 soldered on to it. I've got no problems with that, now that I've heard it.

I was listening to my Colorfly C3 today and it seemed boring compared to my Walnut v2.
I even paid $20 US more for it, weird.

...what can I say for just over 20 UK pounds a great little portable amp and can read a micro sd card and play it in order for when just want to carry it and some small headphones. But do not be mistaken it has enough power for full size headphones, I am listening to mr T by Stanley Turrentine from the sd card in it to my Ergo 1 while I type this.... What a bargain thanks! Oh and sound quality is pretty good to my old ears...
