My graphics card 1060 core clock stuck at 177 MHz no matter in game or idling at desktop.
I have tried below troubleshooting:

1. Uninstall the driver completely using DDU.
2. Try several old driver and also latest driver http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResul...px/114351/en-us
3. Nvida control panel set to maximum performance.
4. Reseat the graphics card and also another available slot in motherboard.
5. Updated motherboards chipset drivers.
6. To avoid 3rd party services may create such issues, I have disabled all other services and re-enabled only the "NVIDIA" services in msconfig.
7. Overclock with Afterburner

None of above solved my issue.
Please help!

Thanks in advance.

Maybe its stock clock? Try OC-ing it?

I have posted picture attachment there.
Can you see it? it's 1544 MHz default without overclock out of the box.

Ignore it.

When the card idles, it will show you that figure.

You try running graphic intensive stuff on the background then you'll see it as the other 4 digit number.

If it makes you feel better, the GTX 1080 on my side shows 316Mhz when not in use.

I play overwatch and world of warcraft but it still shows GPU core clock 177 MHz.
Is that something right?

Ignore. You play those games but you alt+tab out to view it, right?

More importantly you just run benchmarks like Unigine Heaven or just game as it is.

As long as it works, it's all good.

Your GTX 1060 can run Overwatch at Ultra / Epic settings and get good frame rates.

Even stress testing still remain at 177 MHz.
My Overwatch Ultra graphics setting around 30 - 50 fps only.

1. Download this. https://unigine.com/products/benchmarks/heaven/

Set to 8xAA, Ultra settings, Extreme tessalation. Full HD. Run and report the results here.

2. Overwatch - 30 to 50fps seems normal. Is that EPIC or ULTRA settings?

3. What's your full system setup?

why not just run gpu-z in the background and let the sensor tab records whatever the changes in clock speed and all?

if it's still maintained at 177mhz even when you play games, then check your nvidia control panel settings again.

OK confirm your card have problem. I think better you don't troubleshoot already, just send it in for warranty.

What brand is it?

......Are you sure the PCI-E power connector working fine? Loose cabling? Non-standard PCI-E power connector such as 6 to 8 pins?

EDIT:
I asked BECAUSE in your GPU-Z screenshot......all straight line GREEN COLOR at perfcap.

vRel = Reliability. Indicating perf is limited by reliability voltage.
VOp = Operating. Indicating perf is limited by max operating voltage.
Pwr = Power. Indicating perf is limited by total power limit.
Thrm = Thermal. Indicating perf is limited by temperature limit.
Util = Utilization. Indicating perf is limited by GPU utilization.

A system wouldn't power up if the card PCI-E power connector is not connected.

Saw that too but to what I know it's not a warning http://forums.evga.com/GPUZ-Pwr-green-fiel...d-m2203943.aspx

Furthermore it's green, if I'm not mistaken that means it's OK.

The PSU won't be resulting a card running at such speed, if PSU can't supply enough juice it won't result in such bad clocks either.

I think best just to bring back to shop and get them to check.

Yup! Guess I will just bring back to Lowyat shop to check on it. The only difficult part is my graphics card has no issue except for this GPU core clock is at 177MHz so I think I might have to show them the result in GPU-z

Eh what no issue? Your Unigine Heaven Benchmark is super duper low.

My GTX 1050 outperforms your GTX 1060 by 50%, that's a huge problem.

Yes, it is a huge problem.
The day when I first bought to upgrade processor, graphics card and motherboard,
the shop in lowyat assembly for me and tested for me and said no issue.

I am just wondering I should tell the issue by showing the result in GPU-z

Mine is 6GB version for your reference - unfortunately my monitor couldn't handle 1080p so 900p is the best I could do

Weird. But though, I encountered minor problems on 1060 too, while sometimes the fan is "out of order", when I tried to turn off the fan it doesn't turn off, and while setting the fan speed to 40% it spinned till 100% (what the fan noise sounds like), but the monitor shows 40%. Had to perform DDU. And now I think the GPU is idling high, not on base clock but just high, around 700-800MHz.

It got nothing to do with GE

mostly is hardware issue.

If you are using windows 10, have you try uninstall the driver and use the windows default NVidia driver first?

Yours is single fan GPU?
I had a Palit single fan that does the same thing, sent for RMA.
Idle without load around 90c.
I ran some benchmark and it throttled (low fps) due to high temp.

No, mine has 3 fans. After days of observation I think my monitoring sensors are bugged. I can play Rise of the Tomb Raider with 70-90fps but still showing 721MHz in my monitoring software.

Do update us if the shop at Low Yat Plaza ignore the issue about your graphic card. Use the similar benchmark /similar specs rig as counter response and make them RMA the card. All the best!

Yes it's alright.
You can use MSI afterburner to tinker with overclocking and get 2-5fps boost.
