Can confirm that I got VoLTE on Maxis after I updated my S20 FE to the OneUI 3 Android 11 patch that got released this week. (Wasn't available before)

I just updated my device Note 10 Plus to Android 11 with One UI 3.0. The VOLTE logo is appear now. Great.

I think it is obvious that Samsung decides who to get Volte not Maxis.

It’s both Maxis and Samsung work but 90% depends on Samsung due to software to enable it only maxis parts is 10% as they enabling VoLTE to accounts
iOS way better in software always instant no delays unlike android

Maxis side is easier for subscriber like us to bully, just call 123 and say "i'm a loyal customer, i pay you premium, i will port out if you don't give me VoLTE" then high chance can get it.
But try do that to Samsung, Apple, and other brands ... will get middle finger from them .

hm... i am using fold2, and recently ported over to Digi. i get VoLTE and VoWIFI when i just put in digi sim card. this confuses me as in the control is within the telco itself for enabling VoLTE to users or the phone manufacturer.
VoWIFI is really godsent for me as my house has really bad reception irregardless of which carrier it is.

At first some of us think that's how it works but actually its the modem config for baseband that needs to be updated on phone manufacturers end. Otherwise iPhone 5 and 6 would support maxis volte as well. Of course telco must provision/enable volte for the line too.

And I totally agree vowifi is godsend.

It is quite obvious that the phone manufacturer disable maxis user to have volte.
I remember someone keep telling here as long as their phone support volte, maxis should enable the volte for them.

As long as u get volte once u update firmware, it proves that majority of the users number are volte enabled, just the android phones unable to on volte like what IOS did

Anyone facing such issue before? Sometimes when i make a call the line is answered but no voice from another party. Then sometimes another party call in i answer, no voice also another party. Been facing this since last year but intermediate. I just recently change new phone also same issue. Tried with and without VoLTE also encounter same issue.

Not sure it is related with sim card??? anybody face before?

Had similar issues, and it happened not all the time but quite frequent between June to August last year. Me using redmi k30 pro zoom while my brother using Samsung note8.

hmmm...did you check with Maxis? Im thinking is it my sim card too old

I didn't. Yeah for the peace of mind that would be the best thing to do.

For Galaxy Z Fold 2, after updated to One UI 3, Maxis VoLTE icon finally shows up.

S10+ multi-SIM user here. Sadly still I am still wait long-long. Sub-line to wife S10+ got VoLTE since early Nov-20.

Not happening, at least for another half a decade I think. Even rolling out volte seems like a pain in the ass to them.

Really feel like porting out one day... Whenever i complain with so much details as they requested.. Their reply would be, please give us 6 months to 18 months...
