Just patiently wait for the device manufacturers to update the firmware to turn on the VoLTE for Maxis ...
Already know is time wasting to ask Maxis CS.
I don't think Maxis can control when device manufacturers going to push the firmware to enable VoLTE for them ... Samsung as i can see is monthly, once is updated then the VoLTE will be turned on.
Some like S10, S10+ Maxis VoLTE activated in the Nov firmware upgrade but Note10+ is not. So it maybe arrives in December firmware upgrade...

I checked the info here firmware upgrade here ...

Unless there is solid black & white stated that Maxis will enable their VOLTE to all their customers during specific time frame, otherwise I don't think there will be a slight chance to speed up anything...

Especially the way our authorities perform their duty, don't put so high hope in it. Unless some big shot file in a complain, I believe the situation will be totally different... rclxm9.gif

Nope, it is firmware based
For example, if u insert digi sim, it will support digi volte and vowifi
If u insert celcom sim, it will support volte only and dun have vowifi
If u insert maxis sim, u wont get any

This same goes to iphone /huawei/larger phone manufacturer

Of coz, all the sim above shud provision volte in their respective network first.

Else, ur maxis number is not volte, insert to iphone 11, then u won't get any volte.

Profile + phone firmware = volte
Also for 5g, if u remember samsung dun wan enable for umobile 5g even though umobile willing to provision all user to 5g.
Profile + not support 5g note 20 ultra plus plus plus 5g = cant attach to 5g

This one correct. On my iPhone 12, my Celcom has VoLTE and could make phone calls in 4G no problem. My Maxis however, I tried enabling VoLTE, but everytime I make a call, it will turn to 3G. Some of my friends can enable VoLTE on their Maxis line though, so not sure why they have not enabled this to all their users.

-edit- Just called Maxis customer support and confirmed that my number has not been activated by Maxis yet for VoLTE. They expect to complete the VoLTE update for all Maxis customers by end of this year - which is most likely by end of Q1 next year la in Maxis real world upgrade performance.

There's no volte icon on the status bar, but when I make calls, it stays as LTE and I can browse website and send and receive WhatsApp msg. Guess it's already on? Poco F1
Previously on Poco F2 wasn't possible(masuk SC).

Add on, as an ex staff in a Singapore telco, voice LTE has to be enabled for the user too through the CRM.

Since that's the case, I wonder if maxis is going to support older phone model like phones from 5 years before (with volte on hardware front obviously). I can accept that the current pandemic hinders things here and there, but the way how they tackle it is kinda slow and messed up. Other than "time will tell", what are your thoughts?

If it depends on device manufacturers to upgrade firmware then chance is thin. You know how good is Android device manufacturers in firmware support. bye.gif

Agree. There's the problem on user end as well, I forgot most android manufacturers only support 2 years firmware update while some provide an additional of one year for security update only. Yeah, chance is slim cry.gif

this makes me really think apple has a better grip on stuff than any android has, on a fundamental basis
