local warranty is awesome if the unit have issue less than 1 year u purchase & even can exchange 1-1 within 7~14 days or even months (depend)
the problem i don't like is after 1 year, depend on which item like
RAM u need to play RM 9-10, GPU RM 30, PSU RM 50 etc. then u need to
wait for few months. local stores stated they sent back to the HQ need extra charges too so i rather claim directly towards the exact vendors by myself than waiting those local stores (bulk)
FYI, purchase Zotac from US 2+1 but M'sia offered 2+3 & majority issue is due to the fans. previously, i used to care bout warranty a lot but now i don't care so much & pick the one that offered the best value as long the price is not too ridiculous.

sometimes if u deal with them directly, they might not charge u anything too. (depend)
at the end of the day, like i said LPPL!

most of the shops keep telling customers they got no earning from selling the Computer parts so they want to charge you extra after 1 year.
after that they accumulate all the RMA units and send one shot once a month. tat's why sometimes ppl complaint certain brand why take so long.
so when you want to buy something from store, have to ask how long is the warranty and if it has 5 years warranty, then your next question will be, will you accept i send in warranty after 1year?

most of the brand / distri doesn't accept end users to claim warranty.
