Whenever there's a price drop , do the retailers here even adjust their pricing most of the time?

Exactly the same issue I am facing , and I thought it was my CPU somehow bottlenecking my 1070. Cpu is a non oc 3570. Tried lowering down the settings to high-med settings , same issue. Didn't face this when I was still on my old AMD 7850 , however that was on everything low and 75% resolution scale.

Edit : I didn't have GFE installed.
