QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Mar 10 2017, 11:36 AM) I have yet to see any true 35% gain. Price tag ~ last I heard was RM3,899. Very early days, I would say the price hasn't stabilized yet due to local availability. Nvidia's board partners should see the price lower than the Founder's Edition.
For me, either GTX 1070 or Volta next year There are no dual-prices for the 1080Ti unlike the 1080. It's just one single MSRP - $699. If anything, the after-market cards will be more expensive than the Founder's Edition.

QUOTE(defaultname365 @ Mar 10 2017, 04:10 PM) I see... good to know that, we won't be seeing custom cards for at least a few weeks right Can't wait to see how far the custom cards can be pushed. Custom cards are dated to come in late March/early April. For now until the end of March, it'll only be the first batch of 1080Ti FEs from all partners.

QUOTE(ruffstuff @ Mar 12 2017, 05:49 PM) It looks like Malaysian GTX 1080 and 1080 Ti price are so inflated, and price cut didn't do any effect. Depends who you ask. People that bring in cartons of 1080s before the price drop are stuck with prices that they brought in, as is. You want them to cut RM1k off from their previous SRP? For 1 or 2 cards, no problem la. But for 20 (or more) cards? Ain't happening. Also, blame the near worthless ringgit that's almost as good as paperweight now.

QUOTE(soul_fly9900 @ Mar 20 2017, 01:04 PM) I'm curious though, anyone actually try or owned both xb271HU and x34a. Wondering which actually gives more satisfying gaming experience 165hz or 34" 100hz ultrawide, if money is not issue and you have a juicy rig. Everyone perceives motion fluidity differently. There is no "correct" answer to this. 100hz to 165hz is absolutely noticeable to me. But I've asked many to participate in a "blind test" where I do not tell what the refresh rate is set to and most actually cannot tell the difference between 100hz, 120hz, 144hz and 165hz apart. In fact some actually perceive 100hz to be the most 'natural' refresh rate. Convention wisdom says that the higher the refresh rate, the better. If money is no object and the rig is capable, why not just get the best? Reality is however; most people have a budget constraint. Getting a 165hz monitor without a rig to push it is pointless and the opposite is true as well. Getting a 1080Ti to play at 1080p60 is equally a waste of money.

QUOTE(Someonesim @ Mar 20 2017, 09:41 PM) Hahaha, even 1080 Ti might not able to reach 144 fps at 1080P for all games. Depends on the game of course, depends on the settings too. Pro Overwatch players as I'm sure you know play at 144hz with all settings at minimum. Same for CSGO players, same for UT players. My personal sweetspot is 100-120hz, anything more is not distinguishable enough for me.

QUOTE(Vorador @ Mar 21 2017, 04:57 PM) Mabuk lar tuan, just VR 360 aaaaaaal the way. I remember last time Bioshiok did the same... If I buy 1080ti now (waiting for Asus Strix) I will be using it with 1080p monitor I still haven't decide which monitor to go to. My plan is 2K@ 100hz +. You can always downsample from a higher res to 1080p to remove aliasing in the mean time with a 1080ti.

QUOTE(XeactorZ @ Nov 16 2017, 07:03 PM) but then Galax selling its 1070 TI for around RM 2.4k while 1080 is around RM 2.6k around RM 200 difference, which one you will go for it 1080 obviously. There's a near 20% difference between a maxed out 1070Ti vs a maxed out 1080. Furthermore, bios modding the 1080 to maintain that OC is easier than doing it on the 1070Ti.
