QUOTE(DarkNite @ Mar 1 2017, 07:26 AM) My GTX970 died and out of warranty. wait a while, if anything for prices to cool down, after vega announcement.Which GTX1060 6GB brand have best cooling - Chipset and VRAM, and 'honorable' warranty? Sick of 'Tai Chi' master avoiding their warranty. Are GTX1060 6GB longer and bigger in size than GTX970? Also consider getting a GTX 1070 rather than a GTX 1060 6GB (side grade) |

QUOTE(DarkNite @ Mar 1 2017, 09:14 AM) Ringgit not improving. within 1st half 2017.Any indication of the time line? Which brand in Msia have honorable warranty? I have had good experiences with Leadtek (replaced my 8800GTX), Asus (replaced my R9 290). Currently i have a Palit GTX 1070 (3 years warranty) and Zotax GTX 1050 (5 years). Luck of the draw i would say. |

wow, that is cheap.
On the subject of monitors, currently happy with my 1070 + 2K 60Hz Dell UHS setup, though for certain games i stream them over to my 55" 1080p tv. Immersion is better that way. hehe. |

QUOTE(Ulysses @ May 4 2017, 05:45 PM) no shop warranty sticker.. only thing got is serial number, on top of card.. Lol, what you can try is to register on Asus then, and hopefully previous owner hasn't registered before. And put a date ( be reasonable that asus box quite plain. no sticker added if/when you RMA, go to Asus direct, they will refer to that date which you registered online. |

QUOTE(lchee @ Dec 6 2017, 03:00 PM) Hi, I have a very old computer system and mostly use it for gaming world of warcraft and streaming udang. To me it seems fast enough although nowadays to play WoW i have to set video settings to 3 out of max settings of 10 for it to run smoothly. Will solely by changing a graphics card help? If you're only playing WoW, save your money and get a GTX1060, and get good mining/cost performance as well. Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3 GHz ASUS P8P67 Deluxe 2xPCIe x16 Corsair DDR3 1333 Mhz 8GB (2x4GB) Coolermaster Hyper 212+ Silverstone Strider Essential 500W Sapphire 7850 2GB 256bit DDR5 OC OCZ vertex 3 SSD Dell U3011 monitor My gaming resolution is 2560x1600. Now it seems graphics card price are coming down abit. Msia ringgit also stronger. Also with the craze of crypto mining, i also feel like wanna try abit, but mining is not main priority, just an added bonus. Will swapping out just the GFX to a 1070 or 1080 yield the best result or will my mobo and CPU be too old that just getting a 1060 will be good cause a 1070 will yield same result as a 1060 on my computer? Also if 1070ti and 1080 price difference is RM 200 (based on newegg price) which is better choice? |

QUOTE(lchee @ Dec 14 2017, 09:07 PM) Hi, is my motherboard able to support 3 x 1070 ti? Yup it has 3 full length PCI-E slots. So you can plug in without the need for a pci-e riser.2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8) 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black) 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 2 x PCI Just make sure your casing has enough space/can accept the 3rd card,as the last Black X4 slot is right at the edge. |
