QUOTE(cstkl1 @ Aug 14 2017, 11:41 PM) oh, 2012mhz cause my temp at 43C if like that even tho i pump +250 core clock into it, it won't reach 2200mhz as well since its dependent on the temperature... y la the OC is not as straight forward as last time....what you add is what you get This post has been edited by sai86: Aug 15 2017, 09:55 AM |

QUOTE(Mubarak90 @ Aug 15 2017, 03:47 PM) Actually, with GPU Boost 3.0, most users can have overclocked card, without even manually overclocking. So, it's different, but better to almost majority of the users. i know its good for normal user which the card will automatically free OC for them...but for us whom tangan gatal, manual control is the best will try see whether can hit 2200mhz anot tonight.... QUOTE(audiocool @ Aug 15 2017, 03:49 PM) Mind to share which tools to overclock the card ? I installed GPU Tweak II from Asus, saw there are a lot of option there and not sure which one to adjust and do not know the effect if I change. MSI Afterburner is the best for me. been using it since i learned to OC GPU.Any simple tools to perform overclock ? and steps if you don't mind. Thanks. |

QUOTE(Mubarak90 @ Aug 15 2017, 04:59 PM) Haha, if you want to tangan gatal with GPU Boost 3.0, you probably should do something to cool down your GPU further. Also, they do mentioned that OCing the memory would help boost performance too. already put under Water....hahaha...and its GPU kenot be delid memory i have +500 on it. nvm, play with it tonight a while then will know its ceiling clock. |

QUOTE(audiocool @ Aug 16 2017, 08:54 AM) I'm using Asus Rog Strix GTX 1070 O8G. normally i terus hentam the figure from reviewer such as guru3d or anandtech. lazy to increase 10mhz by 10mhz.I knew that the default factory mode is Gaming Mode. If using MSI Afterburner, which value should increase and how much to increase to get higher clock speed without fried the card. the below is from guru3d OC settings: Core Voltage : +100% Power Limit : 120% Temp. limit : 92C Core Clock : + 100 MHz Memory Clock : +600 MHz (= 9,216 MHz effective data-rate) 1. Just drag your power limit to maximum - link with Temp. 2. input the figure as above. 3. run games / heaven / 3dmark 4. IF Stable > gratz -> want to find ceiling clock -> increase by 5mhz or 10mhz or 20mhz. IF Crash > decrease by 5mhz and re-run Heaven benchmark. (Repeat if still crash until it won't crash) 5. Require to do so for both Core and Memory clock. Normally i find max clock for Core clock first then only start to adjust memory clock after hentam the number above. **AT MOST - HEAVEN / Benchmark crash only. with the lock enforce by Nvidia, we won't able to fried it sadly. ***Not include you hack and mod the Voltage, which the above did not do so Lastly, have fun wasting time to find the Ceiling OC your card can do and repeat seeing the same old shit benchie |

QUOTE(renishi @ Aug 22 2017, 08:36 AM) Im seeing gtx1080 11gbps selling at 3.4-3.6k in lazada. for that price, its better to get the 1080Ti. the 11gbps marketing doesn't convince me to get it at that pricing. With this kind of price is it adviseable to get the gtx1080 ti or just remain with the old gtx 1080 10gbps? *looking for opinion on which is better choice to upgrade from a gtx970 else, get 1080 and OC it. i thought Zotac 1080Ti Mini only cost around RM3.4k from lingloong? |

QUOTE(renishi @ Aug 22 2017, 05:31 PM) Thanks for the input. I was only looking at lazada malaysia. Lazy search our section as price list not updated and got some policy that i liek. get 1080ti and you won't be upgrading your gpu for another 3-4 years I will probably go with the suggestion on an old gtx1080 since my resolution only 1440p. that's how my R290 last me....3 yrs+ and my monitor last me....almost 7 years of course 1080ti @ 1440p is overkill |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Aug 22 2017, 09:48 PM) you see how long 1440p become norm...its like until now 1440p user gain abit traction only. majority still at 1080p due to the rising cost of PC as well. GPU price has go upwards compare to Radeon 5xxx when 1k GPU = highest end. now 3.5k is the highest end. (except titan series). |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Aug 26 2017, 12:59 PM) if keep download a lot of games into ssd rather than normal HDD, will this shorten the SSD life? i have been using my intel 320 160gb G3 for more than 5 years. I only put those game that require alot of loading screen / times. eg. witcher 3, MGS TPP and etc.How about running game in SSD that keep read write frequently? Is this ok? yet it is still going strong up to now. |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Aug 29 2017, 08:34 PM) Is it normal for a graphic card start PC without gaming temp around 60'c sometimes jump to 70'c without any gaming just idle ? no, its not normal. in msia weather, your idle should be around 40-50 (max). fan rpm is 1300.Sometimes it also jump to 73'c 1500rpm without gaming but watcinhg youtube 480p. does your case has any airflow/intake from the front? might as well post a pic of your rig here. |

QUOTE(skylinelover @ Sep 9 2017, 10:40 PM) hmm...there's very strange thing with my gpu clock. while it shows using 99% of the gpu, my gpu clock is around 900-1000mhz only. all ultra settings at DSR 4k resolution. and the temp is just at 39C/40C which is surprisingly low when the gpu is 99% utilized. while on option/menu, the clock when back to around 1.5k mhz. xkan my CPU bottleneck plak This post has been edited by sai86: Sep 9 2017, 11:38 PM |
