ok.. now thing happen.

using the 'borrowed' 1080ti, game crash 5-10 minutes... any games. unless i turn on debug mode in Nvidia control panel....
temp is normal <80'c.. however cpu usage >90%..sometime 100. sweat.gif  hmm.gif

zotac 1080ti amp extreme
7700k stock or oc no different.
1440p UW.
superflower 650w silver.

can i assume the psu not good enough to power up those?  hmm.gif

PSU 650w should be fine, but if you want to isolate that factor, just use whatever OC utility for the GPU (AfterBurner etc) and lower the Power Target from 100% to 90% and test.

Are you saying if you turn on debug mode, those games don't crash? hmm.gif

Power target to 90%..noted. later test.

While debug mode on.. i tried for 20 minutes... no crash...
What i understand debug mode is downclock the card to FE speed. So less power needed.

Read from google.. zotac 1080ti amp extreme on load need >300w power alone... hence i suspect the psu...

based on reviews and hwinfo, they don't really reach the 300w rated power unless you do a +100% core voltage 120% PL and stress the card with furmark or something. even if they do, 650 watts is kinda enough to run the system.

Well at least you dont get "Daddy kalah lagi ke" on regular basis, my friends hearing that on mic would laugh at this every single time hahaha, i have 3 kids, wife and kids would rather have me playing on the PC than me taking over the tv hahaha.

Back to topic, you guys think 1000 series will drop in pricing if the 2k series come out? My cousin is waiting for this to happen to get 1080ti but i dont know, pretty sure miners would bulk buy them before gamers can have their hands on those mark down cards if it ever happen. I got my 1080TI FE around 3.8k Mac last year and now pricing seems to hover close to 5k already for 1080Ti 😥
