If being slightly conservative on the settings, say AA, then you'll get to 60fps.



Having said that, Volta flagship, either the GTX 1180 or GTX 2080 - knowing the gap between each architecture, will pretty much guarantee 4k60fps in all AAA titles.

The difference of 10+- fps is the one reason GTX1080 isn't the sweet spot for 4K gaming. Most AAA games can't reach/maintain the 60fps requirement of PCMR.

so.. let say..

1080ti is sweet spot for 60fps 4k.
1070 is sweet spot for 60fps 1440p.
1060 is sweet spot for 60fps 1080p

so where should we put 1080?

Man.. this is hard. Should I buy 1080Ti or stay with this Palit 1070 and wait for volta. To drive this Predator X34, seems like 1070 not enough 

GTX 1080 ti is the gaming sweet spot if money is not an issue. Heh

Mid to high setting on 1440p will be nicer than all Ultra 1080p?

But for Pascal generation of GPUs, most aftermarket GPU with custom coolers performs around the same (with air cooled).
