QUOTE(siaoand1 @ Jan 25 2017, 06:51 PM) as i understand it, ATX is the normal form factor for motherboards and the letter behind it (mATX, eATX) refers to different sizings of the motherboard which relates to different cases that it can fit into.if they are smaller, they can obviously fit into bigger cases, but if they are larger, they cant fit into most cases. like having an eATX (extended ATX) or ATX motherboard and trying to fit it into a smaller mATX (micro) case. it wont work because it simply doesnt fit. ITX refers to a smaller form factor than mATX (refer to picture). |

QUOTE(siaoand1 @ Jan 26 2017, 02:17 PM) does the brand of the mobo factors in the casing as well ? nope, its an industry standard so mobos from other companies differ by functions or features.for example, an asus mobo size is different compare to msi or gigabyte? or it all depends on the mobo decription? like my gigabyte motherboard has a usb c port whereas an asus one doesnt. but the asus one has a display port whereas mine doesnt. rgb and also differ lah if can control or not or even have in the first place |
