Based on the success rate recently.. I think u open ASM first..seems its easy to get unit for the fund now...

Affin bank or asnb branch u go open there...

it is not a savings account. it is a unit trust. but for some reason people though ASx and unit trust are different things. the diff is ASNB have fixed priced funds which means come rain or storm to the stock market the price will always be rm1 for 1 unit.

it is not like a savings account where you just "put money inside how much also can" one. you are BUYING a unit. it's an investment. you give money they gave you unit. the unit is your asset. come Financial Year End, they give you dividend.

please do not confuse ASx (unit trust) with bank's CASA. although in terms of liquidity they behave quite similarly (you can sell your unit anytime just like you can withdraw money from your bank anytime oso).

Try at counter or online for the amount you want to subscribe.  If fails it means units not available.

You only pay when successfully subscribing for additional units.

Cannot.  With what people said those holding other country PR/citizenshipcan still hold ASNB, good also ASNB make sure people cannot withdraw online. Hope they don't implement online withdrawal (so more people cannot abuse the system)
Do like me. Transfer all my FDs into amanah saham. No need to keep going to bank every year from one bank to another to get best promo rate.

Hi All, just sharing. I went to the ASN branch just now to open my account today.
There were 5 other ppl before me all waiting to try to get FP units to open account.
So i just bought minimum variable price fund (ASN Equity 3) and paid RM104.
Now i have the online account and the ASN staff confirmed that can purchase new funds through the portal.

Yes correct. The options are there to for you to choose at portal.

any idea when is the good time can get funds? like just now i tried for ASN2020 it failed

" The transaction was declined due to insufficient units available. Please try again later (068)"
