QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Feb 8 2017, 09:30 AM) My normal insider contact shared with me that all staffs received an email to update their customer info including mobile number via their intranet site. One of the features sighted for use of the updated info is electronic statements and "portal". Heard that it'll be available for staff by the end of the month but no indication yet if it'll be officially launched to the public. I'll share more info once received Heh. Your insider infomer is very efficient aye? Haha email only came out yesterday afternoon, immediately he told u. Hahaha, my colleague told me that they're looking into launching a portal like what Tabung Haji have. I guess the staffs would be the trial users for now. At least any bugs could be corrected before it's released to the public. Well let's hope for the best. I wish there's a link to Maybank as well, so that we can make a quick withdrawal/top up.

QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Feb 10 2017, 09:06 AM) My contact does not want to post directly in social media for fear that it may be against company rules. There is a link to Maybank and most banks via the FPX payment gateway but I was told it's only for additional subscription and not for withdrawal (yet I guess). Btw you're a staff right? Your info should be even more credible than mine I was informed it's real-time via the FPX network so yes I'm sure lot's of fisherman and hunters will be glued to their PCs or devices trying to catch that quick split-second when units are available. I foresee a lot of people walking into walls or holes in the future Well, let's all just wait and see if any of the internal staff leaks out the URL for the portal to the public Haha, your guesses would be as good as mine. Let's hope for the best.

QUOTE(Hansel @ Feb 16 2017, 02:57 PM) If you are with a strong political party,... I think it's possible,... and this is also if the news is not leaked out to the public, and the loan officer will join hands with you ! I know of some national coalition party members managed to escape with some amounts. But,... you better have the backing of the political party. Hansel, I think you're spreading a rumour with zero basis. Please refrain from doing so. Should this be true, I would've known it earlier than you. All ASB loans are done with banks like Maybank, CIMB etc. It's completely unthinkable how those with close ties to BN could do what you have implied. Our banks are governed by strict regulations, at the purview of Bank Negara. We are not lawless. You may not like BN, but all accusations must be based on facts. Not hearsays or rumours. Let us all be responsible citizens.

QUOTE(MGM @ Feb 24 2017, 12:00 PM) Wow, can buy/sell realtime in near future? All accounts are available for now except ASB. Transfer from banks to ASNB accounts instantly via FPX. Zero charge. I tried transferring RM100 from Maybank to my AS1M account, and it was updated instantly. Receipts are sent to email and sms. No withdrawal feature yet, perhaps would be introduced in the future.

QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Mar 2 2017, 09:33 AM) Ladies and gentlemen, boys & girls. After much prodding and pleading with my contact, I've finally managed to obtain the URL for the said online portal. However I would like to request that the link IS NOT placed on the first post. My contact said that the portal is in beta mode so that's why I'm asking for the TS to refrain from putting it on the first post/FAQ until ASNB officially launches the portal. Despite being in beta mode, transactions are honored. So here you go and enjoy You can thank me later Your contact shouldn't have given you the link. It's still in a beta mode. And the directive that we get is to not spread the URL to the public, at least until the system has stabilized. Oh well, now that the flood-gate has been opened. I can just wish you all good luck. Don't blame pnb/asnb yeah for error etc. It's still in beta. There's a reason only pnb staffs were given access so that we can give feedback, to ensure no untoward incidents when it is opened to the public. For those who post the link here. Can I please request to delete it. And please don't spread the link yet. Even ASB is not yet added to the portal. And there are still many IT issues that need to be sorted out. Asnb has more than 10 million customers. We need some time. Be patient guys. Tak lari gunung dikejar. This post has been edited by Mr Gray: Mar 7 2017, 11:01 PM

QUOTE(kpfun @ Mar 8 2017, 08:54 AM) I am really surprised by ASNB how they run their beta test with such approach - opening freely access to staff by a link without a comprehensive check on the user registration. In practical, the beta for a highly secured application should be opened to a batch of qualified and selected users only. It is not like this way - Somebody gets the link, register the user access, and then, the access pass is granted, without proofing the user is the selected one or not, in this case staff. The only control is hoping staff do not forward the link to non staff only. Wow! Come on... this is a financial software, great impact, are them challenging or insulting hacker now? I'm not in IT, so I won't sure the readiness of the infrastructure to support million users. It's not official directive from the management, it's just a reminder from my friends in IT. They just told us to wait for a few weeks for the system to stabilise before telling others. I'm sure they're ironing out all the bugs to ensure a smooth launch later.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 27 2017, 02:34 PM) Dividend in ASG is useless ASG Pendidikan 4.5%, ASG Kesihatan 4.25%, ASG Persaraan 5.15%. On a different note, I happened to look at ASN price today, and noticed that I've made 14% return in 18 months. Hahaha, not too bad. Gonna sell ASN today and lock the profits. So yeah, there's always a way to make decent profits from ASNB variable unit trust funds.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 27 2017, 02:55 PM) Still useless. ASG is variable price fund. So eg give you 7% dividend, the NAV of the fund also drop by 7%. So it's the same as before and after dividend. That's how unit trust/mutual funds work. The fixed price fund is the exception where dividend is very important as this dividend = return of the fund I don't care about the dividend, as I do understand about that. It makes no difference for variable unit trust. I always buy variable UT when the stock market drops, and sell when it looks like it's peaking.

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Mar 27 2017, 03:03 PM) Then you should consider kenanga growth fund instead of ASN. Only 2% service charge vs 5.5% service charge of ASN. PNB staffs are not allowed to invest in unit trust products offered by our competitors. Hence, I'm stuck with asnb products. This post has been edited by Mr Gray: Mar 27 2017, 03:07 PM

QUOTE(MGM @ Mar 27 2017, 03:53 PM) Like Mr Gray said, the unit price is more relevant to P&L, so what is the price diff? What's more important is the average cost, which would be different for each one of us. The easy way to calculate this is to divide amount that you have invested with the latest amount of units. Example: Amount invested: RM3000 Latest number of units: 4000 units Average cost: 3000/4000= RM0.75 Say the current price is RM0.85. The total return would therefore be (0.85/0.75)-1 = 13.3%

QUOTE(xeda @ Apr 3 2017, 05:39 PM) Online portal is useful for non bumi fund. No more hunting, but surprised to see no ASB in the fund list online, there's only ASB 2. ASB is the only fund that has not been moved to the new IT system, can't remember what it's called. Every other funds have been moved, as such they are available on the portal. When asb is moved eventually, you would see it appearing alongside other funds on the portal.

QUOTE(lowyatjoe @ Apr 11 2017, 04:30 PM) his idea is based on tried and tested method. uk adopt this system as well and it works well(most used largest note is 20 quids). i am all for cashless payment(prefer eftpos) provided security is good and service is either minimal or free. Err. 50 quid note is perfectly legal in the UK. So 20 is not the largest note. British use cards because it's so convenient. Everywhere accepts cards, even small sundry shops at any corners. And nobody bats an eye when you use card to pay for something that costs like 4 or 5 pounds. Many ATMs have no charge whatsoever even if your card is not from that bank. Online transfers to all banks are instantaneous and free. We are moving towards that way, gradually.
