yup. 1stly need to make sure u having the new passbook (if not got to fill some forms to change to the new one). then you can topup by filling forms (subject to availability of units of course). transaction per se, about 5-10 mins. but most of the time you got wait for your turn.

So if I have rm1k on hand, I can purchase 1k units? That means rm1 for 1 unit? I'm not sure is old or new book but it's in yellow colour. I think it was opened back 2009

Just came back from the bank.

Got AS1M ac for my son.

It really depends on how willing/helpful is the staff that determines whether you can open an account or not.

Thanks to the staff.

How many units u got? I managed 800 units only. So sad

Actually some people say don't buy too much coz gov no money repay back. What is your take on this? I'm quite new to this.

That is the million dollar question.

I was trying to find out what happened to Greece's EPF equivalent, did the account holders manage to get their capital? No answer yet. That will give me some idea of this govt monetary game they play. Trustee or not, that will not keep ASX 100% fail safe.

My take is, if the govt is really in that situation, then many other financial institutions will be in similar situation, most will be in even worst situation as the govt can do this and that with their magic hands to stay afloat.

Don't just put money in there (or any other places blindly). For ASX, keep yourself up to date on what is happening with ASX. Eg are they going to change from FP to VP? Sign of trouble ahead. I will get out within 1-2 days if the news is confirmed.

Keep your eyes and ears open for other secure investments with good returns. Do lots of study. Then park some $$$ there.

I know a friend who has invested some $ with 20% return every month! AND HE HAS BEEN DOING THAT FOR OVER A YEAR NOW! Too good to be true and I prefer to stay away from that.

All the best.

Yes. It makes sense a lot. A trustee is of no use as what the gov can do like 1mdb. By the way u said changed from fp to vp , what does that mean?

Which means changing from RM1/unit to normal UT (variable price). ASNB have bad record with variable price fund.
*
I see. Yeah. that will see our holdings reduce tremendously if the fund perform badly right?

Is it much convenient to have may bank saving acc? Assume I am convenient to drop by may bank each time for top up/ buy new units? Would it be easier they Striaght deduct from there ? Coz I dislike hassle fill up many forms 😂

Hi guys, is there any maximum withdrawal limit for ASIM if I intend to withdraw in future? Heard from relative that when she wanted to withdraw each day is allowed for rm25k only. Is that so?

I see. No wonder. That means if wanna withdraw just go to the Amanah Saham office and fill up form? Can agent banks allowed us to withdraw?

Was told to come back month end. Tried my luck but no units available. Luckily it just took my 15 min waiting time.

By the way what's the difference filling blue and red form? Is it the difference between fixed price units and variable price units? Just curious , forget to ask the staff just now. 😅

Red - withdrawal

I see. I thought is different unit trust fund. Nice info. But today saw a lot of people filling red form. Dividen haven't declared can withdraw first? Is it withdraw partially will not affect total dividend paid based on previous total holdings unit?
