Not everyone can work till die. Most become jobless either due to no demand for their skill set or they are too sickly to be gainfully employed. And some cannot wait to retire at 55 to enjoy life.

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 12 2018, 04:16 PM) well it's up to individual opinion.. Yes agree...be prepared for below 6% dividend next year...but basically u cannot call ASx as bond too.. government officially didn't mention it's government-guaranteed... only we as unit holders assume it since PNB under government of Malaysia.. there's won't be such drastic dropped.. but the 6% not really sustainable in long run... so expect to be around 5%+ next year.. just be prepared |

QUOTE(john123x @ Oct 13 2018, 10:04 AM) I heard the next budget may introduce Capital Gain Tax. Thats for bursa share market only. For ASx, PNB should have pay the CGT...and ASNB pay us dividend on net profit...otherwise i would be double tax..Any opinion? I havent decide yet, i am thinking of holding ASW purchases until Nov2. Please correct me if im wrong...im not financial/tax background.. |

QUOTE(honkkydorry @ Oct 15 2018, 02:12 PM) My bumi neighbor told me over the weekend that she received a sum of money (abt 10k) and in interested to save them all up. She was wondering if she should park all under her ASB (which is yet to max out but amount is quite close to max) or perhaps top up to her ASW instead. I told her to just go for ASB. She said she contemplated between the 2 cos she occasionally withdrew from her ASB but with ASW she made it a point to not withdraw and using that as her "hidden" backup savings account; hence thinking maybe best to put her 10k in ASW instead. She was also contemplating FD so as to not park all in one basket but I told her better to put in ASx over FD. Yes for bumi...ASB = saving account where they already used to withdraw and used it as ATM card. What do you all think? ASB or ASW? Logically should be ASB since dividend is higher but given that she never disturbs her ASW, probably that might be a better option? Anyway her ASW balance, according to her is not a high sum as she is slowly building up that account. ASB2 is out of the question as it is being used by her sibling. For such case, it was a good strategy to diversify in ASW where she made a mind won’t touch it..she might loss about 1% in dividend...but we look as a strategy and discipline...then 1% loss doesn’t matter.. I think she should go with her plan...good luck |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Oct 17 2018, 04:48 PM) even a tom dick and harry like my self, and some others forum members in FSM threads also did well in 2017 yes...in 2018 except ASNB and FD, all other investment collapsed, many lost money including me..luckily ada simpan dlm ASNB...otherwise no money to eat also think we can be better than them? but this year,...we lao sai lah then again....will they lao sai too.......like you said....That's the biggest question.... Future of ASNB, to maintain public confident on Govt, they will try to maintain minimum 6%...but again we as investor must look at dividend payout vs profit earned...we don't want ASNB keep on korek'ing from reserved fund to pay dividend... with so much bad news in bursa this year...equity earning must be low for sure...unless ASNB play around with realized and unrealized accounting...and show higher earning every week foreign fund (FF) flying away with billions...when FF sell in billion, then somebody is buying, who is that???? must be our poor local institutional fund manager and most poorer local retailer like me |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Oct 18 2018, 11:49 AM) Exactly...new govt might break the monopoly soon...thats why many not dare to touch the counter...ASNB still a safe zone at current market sentiment...and within ASNB i still prefer ASW before of matured and stable fund, even though as an Indian i can easily get ASM3 |

I thought there is tonne of spacethe performance is on par with the other 2 only thing is it is renamed to ASB - Didik to reflect it's bumiputera only status, but without the rm200k limit |
