ah ok thanks thanks. Just read it somewhere also. Another question if you don't mind, I saw what dividend and bonus dividend in asb. Does it apply to asw? I have never withdraw my amount in asw more than 120months already. Will that drag down my effective yearly yield if I continue to purchase?

ntg 1 ma if you never withdraw... if you purchase, it's always the best to purchase during the last day of the month, or first day of the month to fully maximize the returns... if you purchase during mid of the mth, the lowest amt in the month is still the amount from early of the mth, so no point.. you could have got afew more bucks in your savings/current account

Update their phone no over the counter at bank/asnb branches. They must be present to sign. Email asnb for faster processing (if submit no via bank branch).

After that register online with myasnb. Use the no you have registered to obtain a one time TAC for activation. After that you don't need phone anymore. All buying verification will be using captcha except when paying. That's when you will need TAC.

Buying through CIMBclicks is so last year.. tongue.gif

Kidding aside, with the launch of myasnb, there is no point using cimbclicks to buy online.
Cimbcliks cost RM1.06 per transaction, regardless of whether it is successful (ie there are free units online).

Just update your account at any banks, get your new account number and register online at myasnb.
You can only top up when there are free units, so you can keep trying with different amounts or at different times.
And there is no transaction fee.

I think chances of getting units are mild for those who visit the counter, as even the units are available at the time the number is called, a single click by somebody through asnb portal may just steal away the units available easily, due to the time required by the staff to check Ic, ask to sign here and there, cop ibu jari etc.

To help improve the chances of your parents, I think the easiest thing for you to do is show them how to buy through the online portal.

Should be fairly straightforward even for non-computer savvy people.. I think biggrin.gif

Counter nowadays pretty much low chance already I think sweat.gif
