Hi Guys, just wondering for Bumi if open ASB e.g they can top up as much as want up to 200k? Not depend on unit availability like ASW etc?

My bumi neighbor told me over the weekend that she received a sum of money (abt 10k) and in interested to save them all up.  She was wondering if she should park all under her ASB (which is yet to max out but amount is quite close to max) or perhaps top up to her ASW instead.  I told her to just go for ASB.  She said she contemplated between the 2 cos she occasionally withdrew from her ASB but with ASW she made it a point to not withdraw and using that as her "hidden" backup savings account; hence thinking maybe best to put her 10k in ASW instead.  She was also contemplating FD so as to not park all in one basket but I told her better to put in ASx over FD.

What do you all think? ASB or ASW? Logically should be ASB since dividend is higher but given that she never disturbs her ASW, probably that might be a better option? Anyway her ASW balance, according to her is not a high sum as she is slowly building up that account.  ASB2 is out of the question as it is being used by her sibling.

Will the strong advice to avoid VP here affects the performance of new VP collecting fund for effective investment and thus affect the overall dividend payout and causing Zeti and new gov's head rolled? Will that affect the FP in the end? Is weight of LYN here strong enough to lead to that adverse consequence?

May be PNB should just adjust the marketing strategy.
Yet, ultimately still the performance of PNB fund investment management and their capability.
If VP plays good and paint nice figure, i believe FP diehard won't mind to support VP.

We can only breathe a sigh of relief, if the next ASNB Master Prospectus (Year 2018, or Year 2019?) clearly states the exemption to reveal the NAVs for ASM, ASM2 and ASM3.

For now, it is business as usual for us to keep topping up, as pointed by [Ancient]-XinG-. Once we get the next ASNB Master Prospectus, we shall decide our next move. Regardless of what option we choose, we need to safeguard our investments.
