Can stop buying now..
Collect your bullets for ASW later on after dividend..
U needed proper planning... Not just hentam whatever available...

Some would say all 3 fund the same... But if u look closely... Their stock holdings & entry cost differs... Total unit holders & units are also different... And of coz, the dividend date 💪
*
Well, if they buy now, they will still get dividend for July & Aug.

Ultimately depends on each individual how they want to manage their money.

normally that would happen...

many would withdraw... for at least few days... for first batch..
later maybe after 2 weeks, another batch of people..
basically 1 whole month..

my observation  cool2.gif

Yes, that would be a good time to top up big amounts. Too tiring to keep keying in the captcha for 30-40 minutes.

Whoever takes over PNB has to be a top corporate figure. It's a huge job having to manage so many GLC's as well as billions of local investors' money. One Maybank is valued more than most if not all the ASx combined.

Well, investors who invest in ASx like the constant dividends and little volatility in returns. If they want to expose themselves fully to market vagaries then they will be investing more in equities rather than unit trusts.

It's really luck. I've keyed in 10k per transaction and got it quite fast before. Sometimes I key in 2k and it takes me forever to get it. All luck.

It is possible to get ASW. I have been getting ASW these few weeks. Just need patience.

I just tried 1k ASW for the heck of it and managed to get it after about 10 minutes.

Edit: Fixed price fund is complicated too. With your expert knowledge, how ASx able to distribute dividend without changing fund price? And no matter how the market performs (bull or bear), it still maintained the same price? And ASB must performs better than others?
*
Just putting my 2sen here.

1) Dividends are not tied to fund price. For a fixed fund, dividends can be declared from the profits of the fund. Similarly for a listed company, dividend is declared from profits. Market share price can fluctuate but this does not affect dividends.

2) Maintaining same price despite market fluctuations, maybe someone with expertise in fund management can explain this? My guess is that these all hit the reserves and the declaration of dividends will normalise the NAV to RM1 again. Of course I stand corrected as I don't have expertise in fund management.

3) ASB performing better than others, I guess we all know the reason. However, their fund size is bigger and their holding cost should be much lower than the others since they started much earlier. So that should partially explain their better yields. Honestly, even if the other funds are performing better, they will make sure that ASB yield is better for political reasons. The other funds just have to save more profits in reserves.

She haven't call me tho... Bank closing.. 415.. Lol

Maybe you can try what some of the others did. Buy 100 units of variable fund, register myasnb, then try for ASW/ASM/AS1M yourself via the portal.

yes, RM10 a year, try compare it with rockwills
*
That's not too bad. However, if you have many other assets, ie. property, shares, unit trusts etc., you may find it easier and also cheaper in the long run to get a lawyer to draft your will. Many of the smaller firms will charge a rather reasonable rate for this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if we will the units in ASx that we have, they will only be able to get it in cash right? Currently there is still no way to transfer the units?

HLB just appointed as agent bank..
And I guess to "celebrate".. PNB gave the ASM units + ASG bundle to HLB for selling 😄
*
I wouldn't say it's a "celebration". More of they probably have a quota to meet on sales of VP funds to justify their appointment.

Actually I don't understand why everyone is chasing after ASM. ASW is still available. I don't really see any difference between the 2.

alright.

Problem ASW hard to get as for now.

If ASM, usually when they release the flood gate. What amount also can.
*
I see, I have been topping up ASW but it's true, difficult, but not impossible, to get up to RM30k a day.

I think about 2 months back when I first signed up for myasnb it was easy to get ASM. I guess that was one of the "flood gate" periods.

They prefer not to put all the egg in 1 basket.

That's reasonable. I have about 1:1 ASM:ASW.

Well, for me I try whenever I have the spare cash and time. Whatever I manage to get I treat as a bonus. Mostly converting some FD to ASx. Still plenty of commitments so bulk of income goes to those first.

Nice , mine is 3:2:1 ASM : ASW : AS1M

Trying to top up more on ASW
*
Yup, setting aside some to topup once dividend is paid for ASW. Should be much easier to get the amounts I want then.

You didn't invest on AS1M?
*
No, I didn't have any funds when it was launched last time. My personal preference now is to top up my ASW since I always wanted to increase it last time but couldn't before myasnb.
