it will not work if you want to use for PPPOE dialling via VLAN switch.

You can only use as an access point.Need to buy a new router.

Apple Airport Extreme does not work with UniFi no matter which generation you have as Apple Airport does not provide VLAN tagging

Owh. I thought so. I guess I'll try finding another router and make this as access point.

If you really want to use the AE as a router, what you can do is put a managed switch between the BTU and the AE to tag/untag UniFi's VLAN. I think can get quite cheap ones, less than rm100, from TPLink.

If you have access to the BTU, you can also set it not to tag the VLAN coming out of ether1.

I am using AE with Unifi and it is working.

Just connect the AE with cable to Unifi TPLink router LAN port. AE must use Bridge Mode.

I'm using Mikrotik as a router for Unifi with my AirPort Extreme. You need to setup your Mikrotic first (There are few website on how to configure Mikrotik with Unifi) then connect to your AirPort Extreme via WAN port, the rest are very easy to configure.
