As far as I’m concerned, Nvidia Shield has basically cornered the market, so is my main development device. More generally, Android TV devices, amlogic devices and Amazon FireTV might be getting some love
Important: No more Rockchip specific support as of this version

Note 1: As of 16.5.0, Android lollipop (API 21) is required
Note 2: For recommendations and android voice search, SPMC must be already running.

SPMC Settings

Enable 'expert' in the settings menu. Then, make the following changes:

Audio output device = Android, RAW Passthrough
Number of channels = 7.1 [your receiver should be able to handle this input regardless of your actual speaker configuration]
Output configuration = Best Match
Stereo upmix = off
Maintain original volume on downmix = on
Boost centre channel when downmixing = 0 dB
Resample quality = High
Keep audio devices alive = 10 Minutes [this will prevent your AVR from going to sleep]
Enable audio DSP processing = off
Enable passthrough = on
Passthrough output device = Android, RAW Passthrough
Check your AVR receiver's user manual to confirm that it supports each of the following audio codecs and enable them accordingly:

Dolby Digital (AC3) capable receiver = on
Dolby Digital Plus (E-AC) capable receiver = on
DTS capable receiver = on
TrueHD capable receiver = on
DTS-HD capable receiver = on


SPMC 16.6
Here is a first beta for 16.6

Have you tried EBox Media Center (EBMC)? It's another fork of SPMC.

not in google play...

fail to install on my mini mx3

there is also another fork of spmc, the ftmc by freaktab super celeron. i think u should have tried it.

now with amlogic and rockchip build. latest build 22 updated recently.

FTMC same root as KODI.. cannot install both....

but anyway, i tested it just now…pretty similar with spmc, but with rockchip setting option. i think rockchip tv box user might benefit from this fork.

Just installed 16.7 version however the Exodus 3.1.19 doesn't seemed to work, anyone facing same problem?
