TM now use Archer C5 as their stock router for Unifi. So if use Archer C7 instead, it is more than capable i believe.

Archer 5 and Dlink 850 which one more reliable?

I'm ADV30 user stay in condo, I'm not even bother go checking for my "surprise".
Not going to accept anything first, like what JohnLai have said, just wait and see.  biggrin.gif
*
The default exercise is that all eligible users will get their free upgrade executed regardless they click the accept button or not, except for those who refuse and click decline button

Speed upgrade will start tomorrow, for those on 50 to 100 upgrade, technical readiness will be on priority.

I'm supposed to get 50 -> 100, but I read somewhere that the CPE will need to be upgraded as well. Hopefully will get upgraded soon!

Already changed TM's router to AC66U back in 2013, but will be upgraded to AC88U if I find the performance lacking smile.gif
*
CPE will only be upgraded in certain cases as there are users with older CPE.

Sorry, not CPE, the BTU right? I installed my UniFi in 2011, and have been using the same BTU. So might need changing I think? tongue.gif
Yeah, sometimes I do get that. You need to turn off your BTU as well if you need to get a different IP every single time. If I restart the router only, sometimes I get the exact same IP address.
*
CPE- comsumer premise equipments, that include BTU, router, phone everything.
Not sure which one needs upgrade in your case.

rclxms.gif I supposed Advance 30 to 50 as well right? Once you guys have it, please share in this thread. I'm now in hometown... cry.gif
Also whoever on RM 159 and get upgraded to 50Mbps also can share here. Anyway, I will still make complaint to MCMC regarding unfair treatment.
*
Yes definitely 30 to 50 will take place sooner than others as there is no technical issue like CPE upgrade.

Router how? Will they replace my router?

Depends on what model you currently use. If it supports the new speed, you're good to go. Otherwise they'll have to replace it

nikrizal can u fully utilized ur 50Mbps?If yes are u heavy gamer or download a lot files from "T".

Contract for 30Mbps gonna expire this month and TM ask me to check surprise in March 2017 only .Wondering will I get the 50Mbps upgrade.
*
I'm not a heavy gamer. I've got two 4K tv and stream a lot 4K movies/tv shows via Netflix and Kodi. I rarely download movies nowadays. 12 - 18 devices are connected to the router at any given time using the provided Unifi router and I need to add an 8 port gigabyte network switch to handle my LAN connected devices.

So, I guess 50mbps is appropriate for me.

Anyway 100mbps is coming soon rclxms.gif
