Hi all. I've been having issues with speed on my phone. I have the 50mbps package. I have no issues on my laptop. It is only on the phone that the speed is very, very slow. However, if I run a speedtest on my phone, even though it takes a really long time to connect to a server and run the test, the speed is still 50mbps. I have no idea what to do. I have tried changing the channel, changing to 802.11n instead of b/g/n, installing the latest firmware for the router, and nothing works. Please, can someone help me, its been so many months. Router is D-link DIR-850L. I'm using a Note 5 btw, and I know its not my phone problem because when connected to other wifi networks it is super fast.

Asus DIR-850L never existed. Only D-Link DIR-850L existed. That router is probably the worse dual band router provided by TM. Why don't you try your luck by getting your router replaced.

haha i realised that and saw this after correcting it. I didnt know that it was the worst router they provided. But im pretty sure that this problem was there before the router was changed to DIR-850

If you're referring to RGX4400, I would say that router is much better than D-Link DIR-850L. Currently, TM provides TP-Link Archer C5, RGX4400 and DIR-850L. As far as I would say, all these 3 are rubbish if you had enough budget to get an okay aftermarket router.
Call up TM and request a replacement for the router or just buy a aftermarket router.

Just an update. I managed to solve the problem. I've had a hunch for a while now that it was the IPV6 causing all of this. So I called TM up to ask them how to disable it, and this person kept on giving me instructions on how to ENABLE it. Anyway, managed to figure that part out myself, turned it off, and my phone has no issues now. Of course, this does not solve the underlying problem, but it will do for now.
