QUOTE(kkm @ Feb 26 2017, 09:09 AM) And if you say you are totally blur, the Mikrotik routers may not be for you. The user interface is not as friendly as the Asus, TPLink or other consumer type routers, not so easy to understand or to set up. thanx really appreciate itI had a RB951G-2HnD, sold it and bought an Asus 68AC. Very happy with it. Although it's pretty expensive now... |

QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ Feb 26 2017, 09:21 AM) if u guys don't want to invest in routers....try wifi repeater with AC connection....I use TPLINK Archer C7(router) + TPLINK AV 500 ( powerline + repeater) for my second hypptv decoder+ WIFI extender WA860 300Mbps (upstair) + TPLINK AC1750 Wifi Range Extender (extend the 5Ghz connection only for smart Tv streaming). my house and outside my house got full coverage. I use plus minus RM900 for those devices. Appreciate ur advice..think should go for Wifi extender now since house is 5000sq feet...How big is ur home? This tplink extender can we used with any brand of routers? QUOTE(junclj @ Feb 26 2017, 09:54 AM) Anyone here already get their Unifi free speed upgrade? I have something suspicious about the TM billing. I was just get my free speed upgrade at 2 days ago. Now my speed is already 50mbps. However, I am now suspected that TM may increase my billing charges to RM249. I was previously paying RM179 per month. Upon I login to my Unifi portal, my billing credit limit was increased to RM927. My current plan was changed to UniFi Advance Plus 50Mbps (Thank You Campaign 2017), previously is UniFi Advance 30Mbps (Early bird promotion). When click into modify bundle, my payment was increased to RM249, previously is RM179 with RM20 discount monthly. I am now unsure my next month charges is RM179/mth or RM249/mth. I was felt being cheated and submitted complaint to MCMC. Now I have to wait for their investigation. Xefron already mentioned it will no longer reflect in OCC UniFi and I also had a chat with TM regarding this, screenshot was shared earlier. The CS also told me it will be shown in next statement, nothing will be changed, aligns with what Xefron mentioned here. In case you are wondering, I'm also paying RM 179 and my credit limit has increased to 927 as well. TM already promised no additional payment and contract extension, if they were to do this it will backfire on them badly. I will also complain to MCMC but I will check with provider first. That's the correct procedure of lodging a MCMC report. Now I have the screenshot and *touch wood* if it really increases my monthly subscription (I'm optimistic that it won't), I will complain to MCMC then. |

The credit limit is not for you to owe them money, for you to utilise. now shop lot the water deposit also increase to around RM 2xx before the upgrade (just few days ago) i already received next month bill confirm is not RM 249! Same as credit cards' credit limit. |

Although the increased limit is "suspicious", it is not the same as increasing your deposit. You don't actually pay anything more.now shop lot the water deposit also increase to around RM 2xx before the upgrade (just few days ago) i already received next month bill confirm is not RM 249! |

The TM contractors nowadays are much more efficient compared to last decade.I mean...it is SUNDAY after all....but TM contractors suddenly appeared and installed a fiber distribution box on the pole at 10:40AM JUST NOW!!!! So...the problem.....28Feb is only two days away....is there any chance for TM to come over for unifi installation If you really worry about the 28 Feb due date, on the spot you should have grabbed the chance to ask that TM contractor directly about it lah. But I guess he's gone now right? This post has been edited by Max2006: Feb 26 2017, 11:35 AM |

Hardly will utilize until RM 927. When your bill reach RM 380 also UniFi will be suspended.

QUOTE(711726 @ Feb 26 2017, 10:24 AM) Wonder how many times I've got to reboot my router to get that IP..or is it possible to ask TM to reset my port and assigned me an IP within such range? You don't have to reboot. Just disconnect the PPPoE, wait for a secs and reconnect to get a new IP. Depending on the router, it might be faster to do that. If your router can do scripts, look for or write a script that does want you want. |
