Not coming to switch?

If you're referring to this particular title of the franchise, Trio of Towns.. Then no. As far as anyone knows..

But if you're referring to the franchise itself, Story of Seasons.. Yes, a SoS game has been confirmed to be release on Switch at a later date. Probably a new title.

too bad they couldn't manage to clear licensing issue (although not specificed in their loc blog post, it's pretty obvious the reason) to bring hamtaro collab to localized version

The Japanese version had free updates or DLCs. As for NA version.. Well Xseed might not be able to deliver them at all.. If they do, it will be as paid DLCs..

what are your thoughts about this SoS:ToT compared to the previous SoS?

just gone through one-month in-game. from Spring to now Day1 Summer.

character creation - now has extra stat boost to choose from

the graphic has improved - the character is more rounded and balance.
SoS - the character is like skinny. ur character also doesn't do that annoying (imo) gesture when expressing something good/happy...

tools now have stats, which u can upgrade. weight (less stamine), effectiveness (faster/lesser move required), capacity, range...

there's no more farm auctioning feature. but there's now part-time job.

restaurant - im not sure if they provide free recipe to you after you eat a certain amount of food. doesnt seems so for now...
certain food (more premium price i think) - provides stat boost.

there's no fridge. everything is store inside the storage chest.
there's still the tool chest. but for now, i dun really feel why i need to store my tools since my backpack has a separate 30 slots for tools.

i think the house design is removed - can't move/design your house layout.
but the farm layout is still there.

there's no more swimming around in the lake for loot hunting. no more safari to find extra loot.
there is however, mining node at town center. 5 of them infact. 2 is accessible in the beginning. the rest requires upgrade of your hammer.

overall - i feel the game has somewhat improved compare to SoS.

Farm auctioning? What was that? It's been a while since I played SOS and I don't recall any auctioning. Is that where you open up the stall at the market?

I felt a bit cheaty since I chose Tycoon and got 50K in my pocket from the beginning ;p

I love this game but to be honest I've been spoiled by Stardew Valley. The freedom to build whatever wherever and a large farmland to play with is sadly missing in HM/SOS. Even Yasuhiro Wada admitted to that. Hm..

i think the tool box is super redundant and also not having fridge in this game doesn't make sense..

i think the pet searching for items at certain corner has bug at certain area, e.g. own farm top-right...

my pet just stuck there - not moving, no response...need to go to another map to get it back...

i read from thonky guide - to mine every 3 days to get rarer gems - do you feel it's true?
plus the grazing every alternate days...when the game stated every day for at least an hour...

yes, mine every 3 days and you'll get better ores.. i've been doing that

currently im mining every Mon, Thurs, & Sun...
which means Thurs & Sun - i'll get rare gems...
but Monday i'll have higher chance to get common ore - which i still need for other upgrades
e.g. brick, copper, iron...

how about the pet grazing? u follow thonky guides - every alternate day?

I see. The only ore i need right now is Moonstone, as it cant be purchased, therefore I have different hammer for different mining point for higher chance of getting moonstone(every 3 days).

As for my livestocks, it depends. I check their stress bar everyday and if even theres a 1% presence of stress, then i'll let them out for about 2 hours. On a nice weather ofc.
And also imo, pet with herding ability is kinda useless coz if its activated it will herd ur livestock everyday which is also not good. I got a Bell so its much more easier to send my livestocks out and send them back in.

different hammer for different mining point? i only have one upgraded hammer for all the same mining point...
how does a different hammer affects anything?

i dun have the bell available for sale yet in my shop...last i check...

Scroll down till you see the Ore Probabilities chart

For example, I'm aiming for Moonstones;
S = Very high probability
A = High probability
B = Medium probability
C = Low probability

For Mining node in southeast corner of northern Westown, you will get Very High Probability if using level 4 Hammer.(every 3 days). It works. So far I get about 1-2 moonstone per round.

For Mining node near Westown Post Office (and in farm basement after completing Farming Tips 3)
High Probability if using level 3 Hammer.(every 3 days).

i currently feel processing my crops by cooking them first before selling them gain me higher profits (instead of just selling them off raw)

btw...u have the "power circles" available already?

My main source of income used to be "Gold Yoghurt" . But it is rather time consuming to make them. Then an angmo on SoS FB group I joined told me that selling Smoothie is way easier and also can increase ur cooking rank. So right now I make Smoothie to earn $$. And also I have Giant crops, I can make more Smoothie . 1 Giant Crop equals to 5

Currently have 18mil and just gotten my Magical mansion (interior). Time to farm more Moonstones for Magical exterior -.-"

There's several easy way to make a huge amount of profit and level up cooking skill super fast in the game.

Once you've unlocked all three villages and can buy yogurt, butter and corn meal from the supply shop, you can cook Cornmeal Flatbread. It's extremely rewarding.

If you're still in the first year, you can sell Rice Porridge. The ingredient is rice and soy sauce which you can buy in Tsuyukusa.

Did any of you guys go this route? Some people don't like to do this since they consider it cheaty.

Will there be any DLC for US version? I thought it's only for JP version

I did the Rice Porridge way last time.

Yes however it probably will be a paid DLC. (JP got it for free tho).

I love how XSEED is very honest about deciding whether or not to localize the DLC. It's humbling to know how much time, money and energy they spent on localizing the game and the DLC that they published.

Sometimes as gamers we don't consider that side of the business when it quite frankly could financially make or break the studio.

ok. i'm guessing now the toppings effect depends on the quality of the topping as well.

my topping was a scallop of half star, price 300.
when i add it to the rice porridge (half star as well), the quality and the price didnt change/increase at all.
so to me - i lost a 300 dollar scallop

Is this the best Harvest Moon and Story of the Seasons to date? Or is there pros and cons.

Best Story of Seasons, yes. The real deal from the original developer and producer.

Harvest Moon by Natsume is quite thrash now.
Eg; Skytree Village(2016) and The Lost Valley(2014)

That i know regarding Natsume, but is the game as good as the original Story of Seasons or A New Beginning for example. How better does it gets.

My pov; I would say ToT is better than the first SoS in terms of graphic and gameplay. But Bachelors wise, I prefer the first SoS. I miss my Raeger hubby! T___T

Ah that's a good comparison there thanks. I'm thinking of playing it at some point, my last one is A New Beginning, so it's been a while for me. Lol I heard about bachelors problem elsewhere as well, look like lacking in good selection

Yeah. Inari is cute and all but wont get the full thrill being with him until dlc released. Currently married to Yuzuki. I think he's not bad. I dont know why but many angmoh chose Ludus. I dont like muscular guy so thats a turn off. Wayne is ok but his cowboy hat ugh HAHAHA. Hinata reminds me of Fritz in old SoS abit childish. Ford? Too serious looking.

i prefer Licorice or Iris in SoS TnB
but in ToT i'm currently trying to go after Lisette...

If i were to play boy char I'd woo siluka. She seem sweet and innocent. And i like her "blur" face
