Did a scouting at ikea, and found this Detolf retailing at rm199
Any other alternatives? advice on getting cheaper case or even customizing it? Do share your thought and experience

I am a fan in die cast cars ( die cast thread) and i have 4 of the detolf cabinets..I think this cabinet is quite strong and well built..price is cheaper than last year by RM50 too
on the whole,it has 4 shelves,but i did modify mine to make it double (8 shelves as i found it to be a bit of a waste if it is at 4 shelves) at Jln Chan Sow Lin ( engineering works place ) in KL..they added 4 shelves (metal rods) for me ..including workmanship about rm40+ ..glass u have to cut yourself at shops..1 piece is about RM5..
one word of advice using this cabinet,over the time..it is not dust proof...you need to wipe your figures/cars etc..as the door has a gap where dusts can go in over the period of time
hehe..but overall..it's a good investment
