LI was asked by TM to wait until end of July for my upgrade. TM failed to deliver, so submitted complaint to MCMC via https://aduan.skmm.gov.my/ on Weds (02/08) morning. Attached screen captures of my communications via TM Live Chat at (https://mytm.tm.com.my/new/login.jsp) with my complaint. I wasn't given any Case ID or Report number by TM prior to MCMC complaint. Not long after submission, I got an email from MCMC with a case number.

To my surprise, got SMS from TM this morning.

RM0.00 TM Your UniFi plan (603XXXXXXXX) has been updated. Please turn off modem for 10 mins and switch it back on to complete the update. Thank you.

I've got another account in 57000. TM told me to wait till September 2017. Looks like I can only complaint after September.

I have two accounts under my name. Both accounts also 50-100. One account (Sg Besi) had to wait to August '17. Didn't get any action taken from TM. Complaint to MCMC, got upgraded in a few days. Just had to reset modem.

2nd account (older account in Sri Petaling). Asked to wait till September '17 No action taken also. Complaint to MCMC, got response within a few days. This one I have to wait for technician to come and replace my modem. They claim older modem wont enjoy full 100Mbps and may have reliability issue.

Update: 3:00pm intaller came and replace equipment.
New modem + new TP-Link router from TM.

Thanks for the advice. I use the TP-Link C2600 as my main router. The one provided I will save for emergency.

How come you manage to get tplink router?

I complained few times but they only change the same silver modem.

The best method is to first contact TM. Ask them for a timeline. If they exceed that timeline (make sure you keep any correspondence record Eg email, live chat screenshot, case ID), then you will proceed to complain to MCMC @ https://aduan.skmm.gov.my/Complaint/AddComplaint?NOSP=1 There you can attach the case ID from TM and all the supporting information you saved. With all supporting documents, you will get prompt action from TM within 3-5 days. I did this for two of my accounts and both got upgraded finally.

At MCMC complaint website, choose the following options:

For me, I believe with case ID is a stronger case. You can always try first and you could further attach more information while the MCMC case is being processed.

I reported to MCMC with supporting documents for two accounts. Both also got upgrade from TM within 3 days.

From my knowledge,if you're getting upgraded from 50-100Mbps, they will provide new TP-Link Archer C1200 router for you and a new smaller silver huawei modem if you're still with the older black huawei modem.
