at some point, they mentioned my contract has ended. if renew for 12months, entitled another free router, which is the new tplink c1200 i guess.

I think that is not to worry. if need be, TM will change for you. but if you already buy a better router, then just forget about TM's one.

few days ago i got message from tm saying my upgrade is done. I just need to turn off my router for 10 min and then will get new speed.

What I did is just disconnect and reconnect. Then get new speed. Yeah!!!

Hopefully they will keep their promise. As for streamyx, I also hope to get some good news because tomorrow is April already.

I would really consider terminating since u are paying way more than other people atm. TM wont reduce your bill price even when u got your speed upgrade, thats for sure.
