lodging an official complaint might really help to expedite the free upgrade.  I lodge a complain via OCC last week.  Then as usual they reply with an email saying the upgrade campaign will last until September 2017 and subject to network responsibility blah blah blah....

but suddenly this morning received a sms saying my Unifi has been upgraded.  rclxm9.gif

My package is 50mbps and being upgraded to 100mbps now.  Switched from Streamyx to Unifi to take advantage of the free upgrade campaign in Jan 2017.

Received the upgrade for 30 to 50. I restarted my modem. So far I Speedtest didn't have 50mbps result and in fact it is not stable. Just only around 20mbps.

Want to know does the UniFi provider router D-Link DIR-615 is able to support? Need to change a better router for 50mbps?

Anything lower than 30 no infra change required
If 50Mb/s or higher yes

I guess landed can get free upgrade without any problem. Mine stuck at 30 only. Ask CS why cannot upgrade, they said my infra cannot support cry.gif I just wonder is it true old copper line cannot upgrade to 50 line, or they just create excuse only. Sighhhh

It depends on case by case basis. They can read your BTU stats from their office. They have certain service quality they need to hit so even the copper wire is good enough up to lets say 45Mbps, they won't offer it. Some can go up to 50Mbps.

I'd say if you have the budget, change to a better router like the Asus Ac68
