Even if theoretically the 802.11g can go to 54Mbps, the real world speed is around 20~30 Mbps. Need to change WAP. This is because encryption and overhead takes the toll.

Buy new router. Make sure Unifi certified. Many nowadays.

Buy 802.11n router to get around 40~50 Mbps typical.

BTW, I'm still using that stock TM router laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

How about this one? https://www.amazon.com/D-Link-Wireless-App-...L/dp/B00BYRPPAS

I'm using this model as installed by TM but still not getting full 50Mbps speed most of the time...

This is 11ac. It says AC 1200. So, theoretically the speed would be 1200Mbps. What is your device setting. If you are sung laptop, what is the wireless mode it is set to? Your laptop need to be 11n or better yet 11ac type smile.gif

Furthermore, how good is the signal level you are receiving. If signal weak the speed will fold down to lower speed. This is standard wireless protocol. If you want to verify it is not TM problem, test speed using LAN cable directly connect to modem smile.gif
