I noe there are some walls which can't be hacked, hence we couldn't do those concealed piping wiring. But in order to keep the new house "clean" and beauty, other than those pricey Eubiq systems and wiring in casing (which is kinda ugly) or those conventional extension, any other methods / suggestions?

I wanted to know this also.
Those weight supporting structure or beam, they cannot be hacked.
But what I want to know is, can hole drilling even allowed on those beam?

Lets just say if its structural means it hold up the structure..

You mess with it at your own risk..

But that wall maybe ady coming wih one socket??

That socket was installed at the same time the structure wall was casted..

You can mess with the wiring but do not hack out the socket as it maybe a load bearing shear wall ..

especially if you live in a multi storey building..

How to diffentiate the walls? Any idea?

what is new socket for? if cannot hack, cover with some thing new.

There are few ways to identify between bearing wall and partition wall.
Saw one article in Taobao app yesterday night but managed to remembered three.
1.If you have floor plan, usually those wall with black colouring is the bearing wall.
2. Knock the wall, bearing wall will sound more rigid than partition wall.
3. Bearing wall (around 24cm) is generally thicker than partition wall (10cm to 15cm).

If don't want to hack, just lay a wire and put another layer of plastering, this mean the entire wall need to replaster. This how some Singapore HDB is doing since thec can't hack the wall, they can plaster another artificial wall, usually doing that for hot water and wiring too.

or Make it industrial feel, expose a GI tube. Need a good workmanship.

Both method will not be cheap.

Want cheap just install normal extension, RM 30 kautim.

Or get the structural plans for the unit and know for sure what walls are load bearing and what are only aesthetic..

failing which.. i really would not mess with them..

if totally different location - for me i will just forget it. concrete is too difficult to hack even if they allow you to

if same location but you just need more sockets - for me I just use extension power outlets. You cant see them if they are hidden behind some cabinet, etc. I bought those Belkin Concealed Outlets and its like a box that hides all the wiring and plugs a bit. If really expose out then go for the expensive Eubiq but if Eubiq is too expensive, there is another brand in the market similar to Eubiq made by Khind - https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3211511/all

the look is not there yet if compare to Eubiq..

If you installing TV cabinet, hide the socket and put the extension socket inside the cabinet.

Cause all your player will be inside the cabinet. TV wire plug and other direct into the cabinet socket. That will look nice at neatly. This way also don't need to hack anything.

Regarding how to switch ON/OFF, wire a ON/OFF switch out from the cabinet and put at any cabinet wall that convenience.

This is what I do.

Thats okay if got cabinet but for other area may not have those to cover...

Either pay for hacking, invest in eubiq, or live with it.

Than just hack la. Provided it is not condo.

Teach you another way. Put another fake plaster wall infront the wall.

Than you can place wire and hundred of wall socket as you want.

Got money? get an ID to design it more artistic.

Use plug multiplier.

Exposed Gi are more expensive than hacking. Is the detail skill that are costly.

I've seen those entensions from one to 3 or 4 sockets, just plug in type. those looks quite neat

Depend where u wan to put the socket. If you wan to pull from one wall to another, u may want to pull the wiring up through the ceiling and then down the designated area. Cover wire with another plaster. No need literally cover with cement. Nail wood planks on wall and then cover with plaster board or wood board. See budget. Aesthetic mmg need invest a bit more la.
