My 3ds recently spoil (hinge problem) so I decide to just upgrade to the n3ds, but now wondering a lot about warranty and everything because last time I bought my 3ds was long time ago, it was the US version and the game store I bought it from told me "no warranty unless you want to go to USA". I heard its different now so I just wanna ask few questions

1. There's a lottt of game stores in Malaysia even in online and in real life- now kind of worried, their products legit or not? Paranoid about getting a defective resold or fake product- are there any official authorised dealers here? Like Sony has Sony Centre and Apple has Switch?

2. I heard that the warranty is from Singapore, how does that work? We just send back to the shop then they deal with it for us? Or do we send to Singapore ourselves?

Last time I simply bought a 3ds from a store in my mall long time ago but now that store also no more so I dunno how; looking online became paranoid sorry

1. The reputable ones would sell the legits ones. If you do happen to see an Official Malaysia, Singapore, UAE unit, that's the most official there is. However, there are no authorised dealers as the official distributor is not selling it officially in Malaysia.

2. Check with the shop first. Some retailers may be able to resend their units to the Official Distributor in Singapore, which is Maxsoft. I'm not sure if sending to Singapore is still available as an option because they require you to have an actual Singapore address. Plus I think that official warranty is just 3 months as per their policy. (This may have changed)

Ah alright, thank you for your help. Looks like there's basically no warranty, sadly.

I'll go ask around my local game shops then, thank you very much!
