Wonder how they managed to get 17.25 hours with the latest update. Updated yesterday but battery lasted barely 6 hours with normal surfing on Firefox and chat on Telegram. Actually most of the time was idle. 

ps. the screen brightness was set less than half the bar and bluetooth off. Nothing was connected to the mbp.
Hopefully is was not the firefox that drained the battery.

I actually can't get the functionality concept of the touchbar.

If you tell me there is a set of virtual keys on say a mobile phone. I kinda agree it works because you are looking at where you type. But having it on a laptop where you are bound to have to lower your vision to visually get a view of the touchbar in order to use it is kind of an annoyance to me. More so especially with auto correction. Not to mention not touch typist friendly in the first place. Maybe force touch can be added later.

Other than pure novelty, and possibly another part that fails. I don't really know what to make of it.

Don't really like butterfly switch keyboards as well.

My personal experience, I did not hear the fan at all although the keyboard is hot.

same here, although the temperature went up to 50+ and the keyboard had started to have a pinched sound, doesn't really realise the fan is running as well. LOL

First time macbook user here. My other window laptop also dont have this problem. Maybe u guys can try tilt the monitor and see which angle it comes down automatically.

Still thinking to get the TB or the nonTB with 512GB SSD. Not a fan of the touchbar but having 4 ports is useful.
