Currently using the Unitek USB C dongle, 2 USB 2.0 ports, 1 USB 3.0 port, HDMI and USB C power pass through. Works quite well and hasn't failed me yet. My colleague who bought another brand from Lazada kaput after a month. Still charges through the power but the HDMI output failed.

Any retail locations one can pick up that keyboard in Malaysia? It looks good. I did a google search and most results show a RGB version which I am not too keen on.

QUOTE(blibala @ Apr 3 2017, 07:59 PM) Senheng i think can get max 36 month instalment with min admin fee... Ask them which bank they are using and tell them you will report it to the bank regarding the admin fee. Normally the merchants are supposed to absorb the cost.

QUOTE(invisiblelim @ Apr 5 2017, 03:56 PM) seriously we can do that? been purchasing Home Appliance from SH, we need to pay for the admin fee if we wanted to get 36 months installment, unless you're getting 6 months or 12 months, then the admin fee is waived.. You can try but at the end of the day it all depends on the bank and the merchant. Normally the merchants would have to absorb it as each swipe of the card is a % fee to the merchant. Whether they want to pay that % fee is where they come up with the term "admin" fee. The only thing the bank can do is just send a warning letter to the merchant or blacklist the merchant.

QUOTE(invisiblelim @ Apr 5 2017, 04:02 PM) ya.. they even have a printed table which shown Local Bank vs Foreign Bank CC Admin Fee difference. That is the problem, basically the margins they can get from Apple products is so low that sometimes the bank fees > than their margins.

QUOTE(J shao @ Apr 11 2017, 05:51 PM) Well then how come those youtubers carry macbook pro around and claim that it is the daily driver to edit videos? Is it the model they use is high end model? 16gb ram with AMD graphic card maybe? Their is the highest specced Macbook Pro, full with 2TB SSD as well. They also use Final Cut Pro to do the edits so for a Mac machine, that workflow works well.

QUOTE(Clueless07 @ Apr 27 2017, 11:33 PM) As understand the mid year will be silent refresh. Doubt they will upgrade to so soon. At time wait and wait... there is always something better in technology. So will never buy leh. On ur slowness comment.... hmmm paid a premium still sluggish ka? Or is it ur expectation too high? Apple did promise pro grade machines this year, from the iMac (perhaps just a spec bump) and perhaps moving the Macbook Pro's to Kaby Lake as well to utilise up to 32Gb of RAM on the 15" models.

QUOTE(MooTikPin @ Apr 28 2017, 11:09 PM) just buy the without touch bar lag, but spec up the memory and processor law If you are going that method with the 15" model, the model without the TB doesn't have a good graphics card along with it.

QUOTE(screwedpeep @ Apr 29 2017, 07:06 PM) guys, which cheapo monitor is well suite to macbook 1440 resolution? planning to get a custom rig and want to get a monitor that can be used with mbp as well. budget around 700. I couldn't find a good one at that resolution for RM700 to be honest. I ended up with just a 1080p monitor 27" by Acer instead.

QUOTE(MooTikPin @ May 1 2017, 12:51 PM) All 15 inches comes with touch bar right? Except the old one Yup, technically it's just an old shell but you can spec it up with the new processors and stuff via the Apple Store.

QUOTE(screwedpeep @ May 1 2017, 03:23 PM) Which model you use? I might just go with 24" 1080p but need to test and see first how it looks compared to 27". I got this monitor from AllIT for RM860. Chose this one because of the ports I require, HDMI, DVI and VGA ports because I swap between my old desktop (uses DVI) and my Macbook 12" which I use a HDMI USB C dongle. Also prefer to use a matte screen as my glossy Dell 27" is a pain at times because of the glare. http://www.11street.my/productdetail/acer-...onitor-33941186

QUOTE(sian840424 @ May 17 2017, 10:49 AM) Hi folks, I am planning to buy a 13 inch Macbook Pro w/o touch bar. is it worth it? Or should I go for the one with touch bar? I heard that there were rumors that the new macbook pro will be coming in the Spring. Is that true? My last question is I am currently using Window laptop and I plan to use mac and window after that. So, is there any problem for me to access to the same portable harddisk between the 2 OS? Another alternative is to use a software on your Mac to read NTFS files. https://www.google.com/search?q=macfuse&rlz...chrome&ie=UTF-8Some available ones in the link above.

QUOTE(ywliang96 @ May 27 2017, 02:47 PM) Hey guys, i just bought my macbook w Touch Bar. Batttery life lasted me for 6-7 hours. Just recently it dropped to 2-3 hours only. Anyone have this problem? Or just inconsistency battery life? Depending on the usage, were you processing something a fair bit or just your usual day to day tasks?

QUOTE(cyian @ May 26 2017, 03:26 PM) I was seriously considering this but if I am not mistaken, the power socket would be following US standard which would mean I have to carry around an additional adapter. Also if I am not mistaken, I saw a similar device at i-Czone at Publika, same thing, its a power brick with USB-A ports as well as a USB-C. The only difference is that the one at Publika looked slightly larger.

QUOTE(cyian @ May 27 2017, 04:20 PM) The Q&A section stated that it will shipped accordingly Can I use PowerUp in my country or region? Yes! PowerUp is compatible with different international voltage standards and will ship with the AC power cord that corresponds to your country or region. Oh cool! Then it is definitely worth it, useful when travelling with a lot of gear.

QUOTE(westlife @ May 29 2017, 07:41 PM) Actually I wanted to get another set of power adapter so that I do not need to bring the power adapter in and out office and home. Very troublesome and the adapters get a lot of scratches since I just keep it inside the backpack. But the adapter is really expensive. You can consider those third party adapters which also include additional ports for your Macbook pro. That way it doesn't feel like you are buying just an additional adapter but a dongle as well.

QUOTE(westlife @ May 29 2017, 09:27 PM) but prefer to use apple original adapters for piece of mind. If you use the recommended third party dongles, they are really good. Don't stinge on the cheapo stuff. I have the original Apple dongles which are pricey as hell!

QUOTE(jonlee @ Jun 6 2017, 12:02 PM) So instead of dropping prices for 2016 MBPs, Apple decided to increase the price for 2017 MPBs....sigh... It is purely the exchange rate. In the announcement they maintained their prices in USD and even lowered the base entry MBP 13" to USD$1299 instead.
