Batu Arang is now named Persiaran Mokhtar Dahari.

How is the road-
on weekdays- it is a lot of car, not adviseable.
on weekend- it is ok for intermediate rider. not for begineer
from starting point (traffic light at GCE slip road near bukit jelutong to Cahaya SPK is good
at Cahaya SPK round-about there is construction on short stretch

after that will be at the Alam Budiman area, and Schenker warehouse area- which then bring you to Jalan Paip junction
you may turn left to famous dragon back https://goo.gl/maps/JAXZYzXqBA8e5EpU6.
or you may go straight to cicak back ( more gentle climb)- you will pass through UiTM Puncak alam, bandar Hill Park and Eco Granduer
you may take a rest at this Ink Cafe https://goo.gl/maps/1kQvHHNsf8ERTsug9

Let me know if u need a sketch of map.

Where to start...  Bukit Jelutong or  Sunway Kayangan

Batu Arang is not Mokhtar Dahari. Pers Mokhtar Dahari is the main road through Puncak Alam. What you describe is a route around puncak alam.

The Batu Arang route to most riders in KV normally starts/ends at GCE Paya Jeras exit. Assuming anti-clockwise loop, the route from Paya Jeras exit passes Kuang -> Gamuda Gardens -> Jln Lagong -> "Mapei" climb -> Batu Arang dragonback - Batu Arang town - Chinese cemetary/hindu temple -> Route 54 (Jln Kuala Selangor/Coalfields) -> Sg Buloh Prison & back to GCE Paya Jeras junction. Total distance from Paya Jeras exit is almost 50km

Within this route there are options include Fruit valley, Ijok, Bestari Jaya & Puncak alam.
