My hard disk (500GB SATA I think) in my desktop PC which I have been using for work is dying. It runs on and off and the files can be hardly be detected(sometimes detectable, sometimes not), let alone saved. I have valuable data in the hard disk which I have not backed up and which I need to save or recover.

Can someone recommend a specialist in the Klang valley in recovering data from a dead hard disk? I heard that factories like Seagate & Western Digital offers the services at high prices. Anyone has used them? That could be my last resort.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cant help with who to go to, but even if you find somewhere beyond Seagate and WD, it will still be very expensive. Like, in the thousands $.

If you're really interested in recovering the data - send me a PM. icon_idea.gif
If I can't recover anything - no charge. hmm.gif

When the whole place shuts down in December is when it gets really boring ... that's my opinion. Did try the bungee jump though, quite nice.
