already try to shut down and restart pressing volume up and power button. been holding the volume up button for 5 minutes but nothing happens. cannot afford to lose data.

Sooner or later you need to update as these updates do have security updates (to keep viruses away). I too have a ip5s and with the latest iOS. So far no complaints from the user (my son) and all functions are working as usual. Apple would not allow any model to update the ios if they feel that it will be detrimental to the phone. For example, ip4 will only able to update to iOS 7.2. Therefore if ip5s can update, might as well update for the sake of your precious data. |

-connect phone to itunes
- turn on phone as normal - when it stuck on apple logo, press home and power button while intact the cable until it reboot. when it reach to apple logo again, dont press power button but keep pressing home button until it shows connect to itunes, then download the updates and keep the cable intact with the phone, wait around 30 minute it will reboot again and goes to normal.... I just kena this twice in this morning and figure out this way. |
