saw there is wifi option in jazz head unit...wonder what is the usage....
*
to connect to any wifi hotspot.i have already tried it on my HR-V since my Jazz is just an E specs. But you don't have any built-in apps that need to connect to the internet.

Hi,

E spec owner here.
I was told that if we install a reverse camera, it will need to connect to the power on the reverse light thus tampering with the cabling.
Will it void the warranty?
*
warranty is by part, not the whole car.so if you tamper with the rear lamp cable, if something goes wrong with the lamp,Honda can use the excuse not to honour the warranty.

QUOTE(oucheev @ Jan 14 2017, 03:16 PM)
From which shop did you install your reverse camera? My salesman quoted 450 if done at Tenaga Setia Honda. Is this a reasonable price? I am really suspicious of this salesman. My car was registered on 9 Jan but he only delivered to me on the 12 Jan after I repeatedly push and complain. Really lousy sales.
*
Different camera, different price. You can get cheap below RM100 made in China.Unknown brand.

Some branded camera can come up to RM700.

LEL.

I don't know whether this price is already jacked up or not.

I have installed one, Taiwan made. This one comes with CCD sensor instead of CMOS sensor around RM350.

Try to find one with guided lines.

For me, if you want to install any accessories, please use high-quality after-market instead of using cheaper materials.

Because it will save your time and no need to disassemble your car parts back.

I just recently upgraded my headunit.the most troublesome is to find the after market double din panel that can almost match the OEM Honda din panel.

I have found some China made for RM180, more but the quality is not up to standard. At last found a Taiwan made which is better and almost the exact as OEM Honda.

Same as the DRL for GK5,so many models out there. The best is the same type use in Honda Jazz Thailand.Even the Jazz X Model in Malaysia is hideous.

To Jazz owner,

What makes you choose to buy Jazz instead of City?
*
Jazz is more sexier than City. The front face is more stylish than City.

a question suddenly popped up this morning.

lets say your jazz has steering audio control , if you change the stock audio unit to aftermarket unit, will the steering audio control still function?
*
yes and no. yes if the shop wise enough to use proper adapter to make it works.

QUOTE(mot88 @ Feb 21 2017, 11:19 PM)
yeah, GK Jazz brake not that responsive compared to its competitor. It is not tak makan but rather lack of bite feel. The 1st 10% of brake feel is like nothing (no brake bite) butĀ  the next 10% is suddenly very makan. Brake feel not progressive.

Changing other brand brake pad together with brake bleeding certainly improve braking feel. Wait till finish then you may change to other pad but will void warranty. The best possible option now is do brake bleeding to improve the feel without having warranty void.

p/s: The originalĀ  brake pad supplied to Honda is made either by Akebono or Nissin but usually supplied by Akebono by newer batch.
*
for emergency braking i can confirmed that it makan or bite.

but not for slow braking,i know that feeling.i am planning to do brake bleeding first.

theres one car put on sale V spec 2014 model with 28k mileage RM 65k

can advise if its worth it ? buying for weekend car.. or it will be wiser to just buy new S spec ?

I think GK has red temp indicator like in this video : https://youtu.be/5E0RWA0R2L8?t=125

Same like mine. 2 secs of red color indicator during startup and gone. No blue light though.
*

can you snap yours? From youtube (alexlovesmac) on GK V spec startup, there is no blue light either ... If bring to SC, it will be only waste of my time.
*
During the start up - engine checks, the temp light will be red, when the car already started it will turn blue before it switches off automatically.

Maybe yours is not that cold during the morning.
