Hi all, I was wondering if there are property agents in malaysia who will look for potential renters and look after the property as well. Collecting rent, checking on the property communicating with the renter and so forth. From what I've seen so far, it seems like the agents just look for potential renters and that's it.

What you're looking for ia subletters.

They'll rent the property from u n rent it back to tenant.

Agaent juat look for renters n thats it.

Maybe u can find one that will look after the property but shud have monthly fee lile % of the rent to them. But not their scope tho.

Right, thanks for the info. I would still have to check on the subletters though from time to time and that wouldn't really work for me because I'm based overseas. An agent or company who could do that for a fee would be very convenient. The residential properties where I'm at seem to mostly be managed by such property management companies so I was wondering if there were any in Malaysia.

As for subletters, u will lease the house to them for few years. Normally 3 years at least and they will manage everything from looking for tenants etc.

Even if the house is empty, they will still need to pay the monthly rent to the owner based on agreement. Maintenance wise, normally minor repairs they will manage themselves.

If you're based overseas, i think subletting your unit is the more practical way to handle your unit. U still get thw monthly rent covered without the headache managing the tenants
