Received my Infinite 150 simcard. I'll be using it exclusively as broadband service only. Replacing my Digi Broadband 180.
Note: Digi p2p blocking is aggressive, my torrent even behind VPN are throttled.

QUOTE(sitescope @ Mar 28 2017, 07:10 PM) Behind vpn ? Meaning vpn also detectable ? Thought all vpn is secure tunnel I might have a leak somewhere. I'll try to fix it. Currently fluctuating between 50-200kbps. Normally is 500-1000kpbs.

Torrent Update: Fixed the DNS leak and now I'm downloading at 1.5MB/s I'm a happy camper. Thanks Digi! Anyway I'm using PIA, can't recommend them enough.

QUOTE(zher4883 @ Mar 28 2017, 07:57 PM) Private Internet Access is an US/UK based company. A big no if you want your privacy to be respected. Well my main use for VPN was to work around old Streamyx 8mbps youtube throttling. When I moved house to a new area without landline I kept my subscription active since it's very useful (buying games from other countries, avoid throttling, and such). Privacy was never a concern.

QUOTE(epal10 @ Mar 29 2017, 07:06 PM) I'm planning to subscribe mobile internet package. Firstly, i considered to subscribe broadband plan RM100 because i need a huge of internet quota. However, when Digi lauched Postpaid Infinite 150, I'm confuse whether this postpaid plan is better than broadband plan itself. Since Digi state user can tethering unlimited. So, logically, it is worth for me to subscribe infinite 150 and install the sim in Digi MiFi. Or i misunderstand about this. My priority is internet data only, because my area don't have fix line for internet. thanks guy. I also use mine for internet only, use an old redmi note 4g as modem. Works no problem. Just that the xiaomi have no QoS facility whatsoever.

INFINITE 150 update: Just noticed Infinite 150 is throttling Youtube. I guess sacrifice have to be made to keep acceptable network quality.

QUOTE(PenangBuyer @ Mar 30 2017, 08:56 PM) At what stream quality do you suspect that you're capped at ? Because this morning live chat with CS, they guaranteed that there was no throttling on any video streaming platforms and only on p2p downloads 720p was buffering. During off peak hours I could stream 1080p with healthy buffer. I'm pretty sure it's being throttled since with VPN tunneling to SG, i'm back to 1080p with healthy buffer.

QUOTE(JJKTP @ Mar 30 2017, 09:03 PM) They are limiting you at roughly what speed? Ahh sorry I didn't checked the stats. Anyway this Internet plan is the next best thing before fiber comes to my home. Plus it's cheaper than my old Digi Broadband 160.
