These RN3 sold on Lazada, etc.. with price around 500+, are they all dump stock - the one mentioned as Kate version?

They are quoted as International sets, sometimes have 'Unsealed' label.
But user comments generally OK.
Is the international units okay? Don't think there are any local ori for that price.
Will international units have strange problems like settings that apply only to certain countries where we have to do a lot of setting? Or need ROM flashing and things like that..

But now Note4 is starting to take over. Will we regret if buy Note 3 now? Some Note 4 are selling now like just 100-200 more than Note3.

It's not easy to find rn3 new units anymore right?

Any good reason to update MIUI LHOMIDG 8.0.1.0 to newer?
Or just stick with this really old stock MIUI?

Does Redmi have a certain space that is locked out for its own app reservation?
I bought 2 different xiaomi phone with 16gb from 2 different sources, I find one have significantly more extra GB than the other. Both are 16gb roms.
One after installing a few common apps, have still of 3GB free space but the other is barely near 900MB free.

It seems the last ROM 10.2.1.0 for RN3 is available. Should I update to this?

Mine is 8.0.1.0, but on the Settings Update can only see update to 8.0.6.0. Cannot directly update to 10.2.1.0?

Will drain battery more if update?

What's the reason Redmi phones do not respect static DNS set? I set the wifi from DHCP to static and keyed in Google's DNS but the phone will never use Google's, instead it still uses the DNS from the router which is TM's.

Nope. Im purely on WiFi. No cellular connection yet the Static DNS cannot override router issued DNS. Might this have something to do with IPV6? Maybe a bug?

i upgraded from 8.0.1.0 to 8.0.6.0,
is it good to update further to 9.2.x.x? will battery's consumption improve?

So I had it upgraded from 8.0.1.0 to 8.0.6.0 then to 9.2.3.0 then to 10.2.1.0
8.0.6.0 doesn't seemed to bring much changes.

But both 9 and 10 seems to bring way more sluggish UI experience, especially MIUI 10.
And not to mention, battery drain increased tremendously with each new version.

Now I want to downgrade back to possibly MIUI 8.

How do I do this?

I read about all this ADB, Fastboot thing but no place offer 1 consistent solution with each having some variety to their methods. As expected, I know no 1 place on the net can usually be sufficient to guide one big undertaking like this.

So what's the consensus and advices from those of you who knows this well.
Is it possible or not possible or extremely risky and troublesome to downgrade?
I don't suppose there is 1 downgrade solution that can do it without factory reset and losing all data & settings?
And it seems Xiaomi implemented some sort of restriction that can brick your phone if you downgrade using those flash tools?
