My note 3 been having gps issue since day 1, even now with latest official firmware. It also getting laggy, especially. The most obvious one is go gallary select images and post to Facebook.

Mine is the latest 8.5.6

Even did clear cache  and hard reset.  For mine the latest 8.5.6 GPS lock are better but not 100% fix. Is like 7  of 10 time is ok. Remaining have to wait 5mins or more.

Before update, straight out from phone was ok.

And this phone really lag, like i mentioned, from gallary select images post to fb directly can freeze the phone for awhile.

Yeah, think stock is miui6?

anyone facing wifi connection problem when the phone is hot?
mine will disconnect from wifi & cant reconnect back even after restart phone

I have a problem with my xiaomi redmi note 3 SD after updated to miui 8.5.6.0 (MHOMIED). The problem is my gps can't be lock. I try to do factory reset but the problem still there. I am fulltime uber/grabcar driver so this gps problem realy make my life difficult since i only got one phone. Can anybody help to resolve this matter. Thanks

My phone won't charge anymore. Connect to PC via USB also won't detect. Suspect charging port went kaput. Already order replacement parts on Lazada. I hope it will fix the problem. I don't have voltmeter to confirm what went broken but i appreciate any thought from you guys.

Could be due to charger problem. I faced this problem with my wife car charger. It sort of fried (no longer charging)  her J7 prime and my mi note 2 (so I tought). That is why i bought note 3 urgently, and her J7 got repair under warranty. To my surprise my mi note 2 no problem after i took out battery and left it for few days.

after happily using note 3 for 1 year and half, i gonna move to huawei nova 2i very soon.

The latest developer ROM for RN3 Snapdragon global is MIUI9 which could be based on Nougat.

Seriously, based on past record, I think it's unlikely Oreo will be coming to MIUI as Xiaomi logically would be putting more resources into the newer phone models.

The latest version of Lineage OS 14.1 is already based on Nougat and I think this would be the best bet of getting Oreo for the RN3, if any.
