Todate, only China roms are updated to 8.2, others still dont have.. continue to wait.
Tested it on Mi Max, runs a bit faster than previous. But many apps need to uninstall reinstall in order to work

After checking details on the phone, it is still just android 6, mashy.

That is not the latest firmware. It has been around since I got my RN3. I was flashing to China developer rom and then back to this Global rom back then. The new rom is put on hold. There is announcement saying more time needed to rectify some bugs

how do i get the changelog for Kate's latest 8.1.3.0? If i go into older roms, there is a changelog button, but nothing for the latest rom.

why is my keyboard keep on changing back to gboard. I bought swype and I set it to the keyboard i want to use, but every now and then it will automatically change to gboard without notice.

out of sudden, my screen went way below minimum brightness, til it is extremely hard to see. everything goes back to normal after reboot, but once the screen is locked, the same thing again. i hv played with every setting in display... nothing works. Help !!!

done all that, disable auto bright, adjust bright to max... still the same. Unable to see the screen at all.

My ram condition is about the same as yours. But I do not need to recharge every night. Can use like 2 days. I play games on my RN3, suft, movies music... u name it..

If I update from 8.1.1.0 rooted to 8.1.3.0, I know I will loose my root. But can I flash it with the same root file I used for 8.1.1.0? I have this file:

Any updated SuperSu files after 2.78?

alamak, screen brightness was working fine after i upgraded to 8.1.3.0 and then after 30 minutes, suddenly I check my phone again, and the screen is so dim, can't do anything to make it bright again except to reboot. How????? I have tried those flashing persist.img too.

Not always on the phone. I only attend to it when msg comes in, or check emails, read papers when I want to... as for games, I think roughly 1-2hrs divided into few sessions.

Well, i did not install any apps that controls screen brightness recently. But it got me thinking and this is what I have found:
- i boot into safe mode, and sure enough NO so such problem
- reboot phn, go directly into installed apps, tried stopping some apps which I do not know and uninstall the last app that I installed
- last app that i installed was a skin for poweramp player
- force stop these two apps i do not recognize: (a)KLO Bugreport, (b)mab, 33.16MB

Later, after google search, I think it is safe to restart KLO Bugreport, but for mab. Seems everyone have it but not sure what it is.

I also change the theme back to default. However, I have tried this before and it did not help previously.

So if it is the poweramp skin?? But then, I only downloaded it, and have not even applied the skin and I started to get this problem with the screen brightness. And now out of sudden, it went away, it is back to normal now. I'm still clueless.

Just to confirm this, if we get the new 8.2 update, we can't use the previous SuperSU file to root, right?

Finally, i think I have discovered what is causing my screen to seem "unable to come out from being dim", unless i reboot it. I suspect it is the double tap lock screen app that I installed. By using the power button to off screen, I can wake up and get full brightness. But if I lock the screen with the app, when the phone wakes up, the brightness will not "wake up". Getting rid of it now.

What do you guys do to lock/turn off your screen without touching power button?

I want to avoid Quickball, cos it interferes with gaming.

I must say that app that I installed was working for the pass few days. And today suddenly the same problem appeared, just like last week.
