Nitrogen OS 8.1 already release. Initially I just do the dirty upgrade from 8.0 (dirty as in just flash the rom) and having lots of issues and home button not working. Than found out 8.1 have some major change and can't use 8.0 launcher and Google App. So did a clean install by wipe the Data, System and all cache. Install Os and Google App 8.1, and 1+ hours restore the rest. Now is super smooth and nice not much issue. Except the Default Camera can't save to SD card.

I still read the rn4 having GPS locking issue.

For nitrogen Kernel :

Below 80%, the charging can reach up to 2050mAh, between 80%-90% is around 1800-1000mAh, and after 90% it slow down to 800-300mAh.

I remember Miui Beta/ developer also perform similar.


For Radon Kernel :
Below 80%, the charging can reach up to 2500mAh, the other status remain similar.

Maybe not a quality board.

I just had this problem, what i did take out the back case and remove the internal battery cable for 10 mins, and reconnect back. Working again.

Saw in youtube some people advice just enable developer mode and enable usb debugging and it will work.

I read another method is enable USB Debug in developer mode, and will fix the issue.

My setup
- Kernel Radon 6.3
- Nitrogen OS 8.1

Can easily last me 4+hr on screen

Maybe you can use custom rom.

Me still using RN3 on custom rom oreo 8.1, now with face unlock.

Yesterday my phone was behaving, morning when i was charging on QC2, it suddenly unable charge. Try remove the batter connector (removed the RN3 back cover), but still not able to fix it.

After some hours trying other method still no luck. Switch to my old phone and planing to get RN5 Pro. Than after it was off for 6+ hours i try charging the phone again... And it came back live.. Able to charge at 2.4Amps too.. Damn, i love this RN3, using it for 15 months it worth every penny. GPS was fix from the custom rom..

Try take out the battery connector (internal) for overnight. Mine resurrected after I did that. Was about to remove the safety diode (search google) that will be the final try before you change phone. Lucky it resurrected before I remove the diode.
