if the phone model include all of that signal,...
i think u can use w910i although bit expensive...
but my advise if u r heavy user... use modem either usb or datacard...

Added on May 22, 2008, 3:57 amdid anybody here try torrenting using DIGI edge...

i think is 2 year ago, i use my sony phone to connect to digi dprs for almost a month. every day, i touch the hp, i can boil the egg with the heat...>.>!
*
even u use the modem also u can feel the heat.. however, modem air circulation is better than HP and its circuit less comlicated compare HP.. This also make why better use modem for better signal, stability and durability.

^ should be 2nd half this year, meaning june?

youtube nid to wait loh.

i think digi 3.5g should be no problem since they are "forced" to rent timedotcom's fibre for the 3g license.
*
youtube need to wait made me bored.. during my time using celcom/maxis, no need to wait but that when they r in excellent connection (mean no many user)...
however i still stick to DIGI edge due its stability and no cap limit... my upload/download now more than 7GB in just 10 days....

hope no problem when digi go to 3.5G... although they use timedotcom fibre, the problem here is its connection still under controlled by TM...

DiGi EDGE here I come, but not so soon. I'll wait till 2 days before my semester reopens, such a cheapskate I am. laugh.gif

Care to post your speedtest when the line is totally congested? Like between 8.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m? notworthy.gif
*
sorry can't post the speed due im working at night...
however, referring to my torrent speed.. I can achieve that when there r lot of good seeder (very generous).. I don't say DIGI is good but what I can say DIGI better than celcom/maxis... However, if celcom can solve their problem, maybe i'll change back to celcom if DIGI still EDGE or 3G...
How bout WIMAX.. U don't want to try?

yesterday just sign up with U Mobile for their U38 package, why? cause can use their broadband for free for the first 2 month but capped at 5GB.
After 2 months might cancel the line...smile.gif
*

as far as i know, there is no difference between edge and gprs setting, the fact that u did get 89kbps is already edge speed because gprs speed will give maximum of 56kbps only.. u can ignore modem speed of 115.2kbps, it has no effect on ur internet speed, what u can do now is make a complaint to digi for low internet speed.. i am digi edge user since march08, i experienced the same situation as yours at the beginning of my subscription smile.gif ..
*
i think there r differet for modem user and phone user...

1) Install PC suite from sonyericsson.com
2) under data comm Data accounts, create new account(PS) named diginet, apn = diginet, user & pass = digi
3) under connectivity USB, select USB internet turn it on, USB data accounts select diginet
4) connect ur se phone to pc, it will establish connection automatically
(2,3,4 configure under se phone)

*
same as me... mine pay RM50...
and i takes 12 hours to active my line..
but im still not use for 1 month (subscribe on 16/5) and my upload/download more than 13GB.. hehehe

Fruitie...
better u take DIGI.. im also x celcom user and I know how suck they r..
No contract needed but u must prepare ur own modem which i believe u have..
However if u use huawei modem, u need web refresher as like me facing disconnected when im not doing anything around 10 second.. already inform DIGI CS and their tech tell me that they also receive some complaint from huawei user that their line disconnected if no activities happen around 10 second... Other than that I have no complaint.. speed wise and stable.... Even rainy still not affected...

What I like is I can torrent as many as I can... No cap limit... If u get good seeder.. u can reach 27KB/s as my post before...

hei yellowman...when 3g or better 3.5g coming la....can't tahan celcom 3g already.
*
if u opt for celcom D68.. i think better u change to DIGI EDGE...
Although D68 up to 384kbps.. is thats stable?.. i see many user normallly only get around 150kbps...
Better for DIGI around 200kbps although only EDGE signal

I thought disconnection during surfing was rare problem....
now i see few member facing same problem...

For those who don't understand 'disconnection' mean...
its not like we disconnect from Internet and modem software show disconnect...
we still connected but no data receive.. this happen when there r no activities during surfing (more 10 second) and server disconnect us from internet as they assume we r not use the service.. however sometimes when u refresh or click some link it will popup but take a few minutes if not second.. sad.gif
when i try use web refresher, this problem become less and acceptable... i need to set web refresher to refresh every 5 second (the lowest time)..
Their CS tell me they encounter same problem for user who use huawei model as modem... Maybe after this i'll try use my pon n see what happen... hmm.gif

yeah.. one of the reason....
but if using web refresher, this problem less happen (only 1 time only).. if using BT i need to use web refresher to make sure the connection stable...
so i believe its not about latency... maybe the modem itself or cofiguration..
who knows

Added on June 1, 2008, 6:56 pmehhh now my line breakdown...
i can't surf international pages but local can like lowyat... even yahoo.com also can't...
anybody here face same problem?

ya sometime after connect but no transfer rate for received. idle for quite long. i keep refresh the browser. sometimes after refresh still cant load the web page.

so i change to celcom sim card also same thing happen.
*
oo.. I think DIGI like that... u need a few minutes to make it connected...
after connected no problem if u use web refresher...
u also can start web refresher before connecting DIGI..

i think old version only up to 3.6 Mbps..

eh, both ur usb modem & edge phone contribute pretty good connection performance ya.. thumbup.gif  your location connection/free slots pretty good!! rclxms.gif

*
my area contain 3 universities and few college and not included factory... however i believe lot of subscriber using maxis and celcom instead DIGI EDGE.. yeah.. who want to EDGE.. so slow... better take 3G or HSDPA... many user think like that ... no wonder i got good coverage at my area... but when DIGI 3G come out, im afraid i'll loss the good connection due to congested user...
